DONALD W. BOYLE Donald W, Boyle, 60, of 6 E. Pearl St., Hamlet, passed away at 2:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 24, at his home following an apparent heart attack. He was born on September 25. 1930, in Chicago, to Joseph and Veronica (Schwenk) Boyle. He was a lifetime area resident coming from Chicago. Surviving are two brothers, Lon Boyle and Gene Boyle, both of Hamlet and three sisters, Joan Wolff and Mae Jensen, both of Hamlet and Carol Bock, of Bethel, Ohio. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Hamlet, with Rev. Anthony Spanley, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. He worked in the Power House Department at Westville Correctional

Wisler, 75, of 204 Starke Street, Hamlet, passed away at 11:35 a.m., on Thursday, October 25, in Porter Memorial Hospital, after an illness. He was bom on July 4, 1915, in Elkhart County. He married Evelyn Faulk on Nov. 30, 1940, who survives. Also surviving are two brothers, Carl Wisler, of Niles, Michigan, and Glade Wisler, of Valparaiso; two sisters. Bella Gindaniel, of LaPorte and Ruth Ullery, of Walkerton and a granddaughter, Angel. He was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Wisler. He was a member of the church, a U.S. Army veteran of World War 11, a former member of the Hamlet Lions Club and Hamlet Amrican Legion Post 356 and he also appeared in numerous parades in northern Indiana as "Uncle San." EV AB C. PETERSON Evar C. Peterson, 75, passed away at 5:20 p.m., Tuesday, October 24, in Michiana Community Hospital, South Bend, following an illness. He was born on Oct. 25, 1914, in Chicago to Carl and Gina (Hjelm) Peterson. He married Mary E. Fortune on Jan. 23, 1937, in Chicago, who survives. He was a long time area resident moving here from Chicago 21 years ago. Also surviving are a daughter, Donna Tollefsen, of Cicero, Ill.; two sons, James, of Park Forest, 111. and David, of Manteno, DI.; a brother, Arnold, of Marco Island, Fla.; a sister, Jean Johnston, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; six grandchildren and four great-grand-children. A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m., C.S.T., on Sunday at the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, with Rev. Guy Bridges, officiating. Cremation followed. MARCELIEN VANWANZEELE Mr. Marcelien M. VanWanzeele, 72, of Route 3, Box 322, Walkerton, passed away at 9:55 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the LaPorte Hospital. He was born on May 14, 1914, in South Bend, to Charles and Josephine (Joly) VanWanzeele and lived in the area all of his life. He married Anna Elizabeth Pollitt, on June 28, 1941, who preceded him in death on May 3, 1974. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are two grandchildren; one sister, Mary M. Meyerjack, of Oak Park, 111., and one brother, Albert, of Otterbein. One son, Joseph Gerard, preceded him in death. ERNEST FLETCHER Ernest Fletcher, 69, of Route 4, Walkerton, passed away on Friday, October 26, at Starke Memorial Hospital, Knox, after an illness. He was bom on September 21, 1921, in Magoffin County, Kentucky. He was a laborer. He is survived by his mother, Minnie Fletcher, of Sanford, Fla.; two sisters, Bettv J. Wells, of Arlington, Ohio and Billie I. Bonanon, of Findlay, Ohio; and four brothers, Corbin, of Sanford, Fla., Paul 8., of Osteen, Fla., Perry, of Carey, Ohio, and James, of Denver. Services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday at the Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky, with burial in Big Woods Cemetery, Menisee County, Kentucky. THEODORE J. PAVLICEK Theodore J. Pavlicek, 83, of Walnut Road, Walkerton, passed away at 11:25 a.m. on Sunday in St. Anthony’s Hospital, Michigan City after an illness. He was bora on October 18, 1907, in Decatur County, Kansas, and lived in Walkerton for 12 years coming from South Bend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Janczycki, in 1958. He was a former employee of the Studebaker Corp, and the Mastic Corp., South Bend. Surviving are two sisters. Mabel Fortin, of Aurora, Colorado, and Elizabeth Micek, South Bend; and a brother, Joseph E., of Oberlin, Kansas.
