Myrl Dixon gave the health and safety report. Birthdays honored were those of Mickey Woifenbarger, Marty Malstaff, Cindy Jacobson and Martha Mull. The prize went to Mickey Woifenbarger. Norma Eddinger, Marilyn Roush and Wanda Pontius were thanked for conducting the cookies booth at the recently held Pumpkin Festival. Guests introduced were Debra Brown and Pat Kerckhove. It was announced the next meeting will be one week earlier, on Nov. 15, due to Thanksgiving with Myrna Daube as chairman. Hostesses for the evening were Bonnie Sullivan, Judy Baker, Ann Daley, Kim Towle, Gert Thomas, Edna Downey, Tammy DeMetz, April Piotrowicz, Carol Beem, Karen Uliery, Cindy Jacobson, Ruth Knowlton, Ella Remus and Lorena Briggs. SCOUT NEWS Walkerton Cub Scout Pack 293 held their monthly pack meeting, on October 23, at the Youth Building. Leaders for the year were introduced as Ellen Swan, Bears; Lowell Warner, Webelos; and Terry Shepherd, Tiger Cubs and Boy Scouts. The Scouts will be selling popcorn until November 16. The popcorn coordinator is Kathy Jones. Popcorn sales are the major money making project for the Scouts, so please buy some popcorn and help support your local scouts. The Btars presented a Halloween skit and then a costume judging was held. Winners were Eric Rush, most original; Andrew Ream, scariest; and Austin Clark, silliest. Judging the costumes were Mary Ann Davis, Linda Holland and Doreen Bogard. All winners and judges were presented with free treat certificates for the Dairy Queen. The evening concluded with apple dunking and cider and donuts for refreshments. The next meeting will be November 27, at 7:00 p.m., at the Walkerton Youth Building. She weighed in at eight pounds and one ounce and was 21 inches long. She has been named Sara Elirabe th. Maternal grandparents are Charles and Avis Manfredi, of Long Branch, New Jersey. Paternal grandparents are Ervin and Antoinette Wisnieski, of Michigan City. Sara was welcomed home by her three big brothers, David, Matt, and Chris. Winston Churchill had twin beds, and when he couldn't fall asleep in one, he would move to the other.
