Parent-Teacher Conferences At John Glenn Schools John Glenn School Corporation will hold Parent-Teacher Conferences from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1. Parents are urged to attend. Conferences provide an opportunity for you to discuss your child's progress. It is an invaluable opportunity for you to gain information and also share perceptions. We welcome your visit and hope that you will make yourselves at home in looking over our buildings and visiting with our teachers. Due to Parent-Teacher Conferences, students in grades 1-12 will attend school one-half day on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 1 and 2. Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes will meet at Walkerton Elementary and North Liberty Elementary on Thursday morning, Nov. 1. No prekindergarten or kindergarten classes will be held Thursday afternoon. On Friday morning, Nov. 2, the Walkerton Elementary pre-kindergarten class will meet. No other pre-kindergarten or kindergarten classes will meet on Friday, Nov. 2. Students will be dismissed on Nov. I and 2 at 10:45 a.m. at Walkerton Elementary School, 10:50 am. at North Liberty Elementary School, 10:55 a m. at Urey Middle School and 11:00 a.m. at John Glenn High School. UREY MIDDLE SCHOOL Visitation times on Thursday, Nov. 1 will be during the afternoon from 12 noon to 5:00 p.m. and 5:45 to 8:00 p.m. during the evening with the following exceptions: Mr. Hollenbaugh (6:00 to 8:00); Miss Tinkey (12 noon to 5:00) and Miss Austin (12 noon to 5:00). You may sign up to confer with your child’s teachers at the sign-up table at the school or with Ms. Tiani jprior to Nov. 1. Ms. Tiani, guidance counselor, will also be available for conferences. Conferences will be 15 minutes in length. If you need information or directions, Mrs. Snell, school secretary, will be avaialable. If you cannot come on Nov. 1 and would like to meet with a teacher or the counselor, please call the school, 586-3184. Grade cards will be given to students before dismissal on Nov. 1. NORTH LIBERTY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Information is being sent home with students regarding conference scheduling. Please return requested information to the school to schedule your conference time. In the evening a birthday celebration was held in the Guttman home for Jessica and Stephanie Yoder, daughters of Mrs. Elizabeth Yoder. The John Glenn High School graduating class of 1975 held their 15 year reunion in July this past summer at Potato Creek State Park. Thirty-four classmates were present along with their family members. Everyone enjoyed a pleasant day as volleyball, horseshoes and reminiscing seemed to be the favorite activities.
