Sharia Quinn and Allen Rundle were united in marriage during a double ring ceremony at 10:30 a m. on August 11, at the home of the bride’s parents, in New Haven. Superior Court Judge Vernon Sheldon officiated. Vocalist was Rebecca Sinners and vocalists were the groom's sisters Melanie White. Meredith Kalbert. Barbara Hampton and Beth Johnson. The bride is the daughter of Jack and Louise Quinn and the groom is the son of Bill and Beverly Rundle. Ko mt z Lake. The bride chose a white tea length gown and she carried a bouquet of pink sweetheart roses and white carnations. Matron of honor was Mrs. Chris Gabnardt. of St. Louis. Missouri and the flower girl was Erica Quinn, niece of the bride.
NORTH LIBERTY NEWS By Giady s Shenetnan Recently Joyce Knepp. Karen Dregitsand Betty McCormick were guests of Rev. and Mrs. Randall Yoder and family, in Huntington. Pennsylvania. After spending the weekend with the Yoder's they spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Ekholm and daughter Mrs. Gars Miller, in the Pittsburg area. Thev enjoyed the beautiful scenerv all along the way. They had a surprise visit with Mrs. Jim Johnson and family, in Richmond. Indiana. Jim was at work so they just talked to him on the phone. Jim and Carol are former residents of North Libertv and owned the home that is now Betty McCormick’s. Tedd and Sandy Kronk, of North Liberty; Roger and Marge Kronk and Calvin and Clara Mae Kronk, of near Walkerton, spent Sunday at Door, Michigan at the home of Dave and Debbie Rose. The occasion was to help Katie celebrate her 6th birthday. The P.T.A. of the North Liberty Elementary School is sponsoring a Fun Fair Saturday evening, October 20, from
Best man was Gregg Harger, of Chesterton and ring bearer was Anthony Kelbert. nephew of the groom. A reception followed for 200 quests at Geoglins Restaurant, in Fort Wavne. Following a wedding trip to Mvrtle Beach. South Carolina the couple are at home on Henry Street, in North Libertv. The bride is a graduate of Woodland High School and Indiana University. Fort Wavne with a bachelor of science degree in elementarv education. She was a substitute teacher in East Allen School Corp, and currently is working for Castle School, in South Bend. The groom is a 1985 graduate of John Glenn High School and is employed at Nicholas Machine, in New Carlisle.
5:00 - 8:00 at the school. Everyone is invited as there will be food being served, also there will be games and a cake walk along with many other fun things. There will also be a drawing so come and join the fun. Tim and Shirley Pearson spent the weekend sightseeing in Michigan and reported the trees are really getting beautiful. Dave Black, of California, spent the weekend with his sister, Pam Craft, and family. 1 have been invited by my great-grandson, Brandon Stull, to be his guest on Tuesday, October 16 in honor of Grandparents Day at the North Liberty School, so 1 am going and if I learn anything new, I will let you know next week. A burthday party was given by Sue Price in the Activities Room for Dottie Wolff Sunday afternoon, who was celebrating her 90th birthday. She also received flowers from her grandson Bobby, who also visited her. The nurses all came and sang Happy Birthday to her. All your many friends want to wish you a very happy birthdas Dome.
Theda Carlson will be leaving Friday to spend the winter with her mother, Mrs. Miller, who is a resident in the nursing home in Canton, Illinois. Her sister will be leaving for Arizona soon to spend the winter and Theda feels she needs to be close by to visit her mothers and take care of her needs. So we wish them both well this winter. We certainly do want to wish Lily O’Connor, who lives on Sycamore Road, a very Happy 94th Birthday on Monday, October 15. She is a grand lady. She certainly does not look 94. She is so active, never misses anything going on at the Church of Christ. She is very special so please remember her on her 94th birthday. God bless you Lily and happy birthday from all your many friends. Guests this past week of Mr. and Mrs. Dewayne Lee have been Leonard and Marian Owen, of Wappingers Falls, New York. She is Mrs. Lee’s mother. A large crowd of relatives and friends from the area attended the 50th wedding anniversary of Lloyd and Genova Kaser Sunday afternoon at the Blissville Church of the Brethren. They have lived in Teegarden for 46 years. It was a beautiful weekend for the campers at Potato Creek. Many went hiking on the trails and lots of them rode the bicycle trails. Ray and Gloria Helsius returned home Thursday after a wonderful trip to Pennsylvania for a 6 day tour with American Dream Tours of Plymouth last Saturday. Ed and Helen Pogodzinski accompanied Gladys Sheneman to LaPaz where they boarded an American Dream Tours bus along with 43 other people from Warsaw, Plymouth, LaPaz and South Bend and headed for Paw Paw, Michigan. When they arrived there they toured the Warner Vineyards and even got to taste many of their special wines. From there they boarded the Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train, where they were seated at a table with sparkling crystal china and crisp linens and then we started out on a three hour train ride and were served a four course dinner including shrimp soup, prime rib, salad, pumpkin Bavarian cream dessert along with vanilla almond coffee (all delicious), while we enjoyed the beautiful wine country scenery as we moved along. From here we were taken to Elaine Best Country Creations for a short stop and then on to the Golden Pond Fruit Farm and Restaurant, near Berrien Center where we saw a large field of nothing but golden pumpkins. Then we headed tor South Bend and then on to LaPaz where we arrived exactly at 6:15, the time our brochure said we would. The weather was just perfect, the trees are really turning, and it was a day we will always remember.
