United Calling Card To Make Debut The United Telephone Calling Card will make its debut to United Telephone Company of Ohio and Indiana customers beginning Oct. I. According to Darrell Kelley, president of United Telephone of Ohio. ‘‘The United Telephone Calling Card represents an exciting new direction for United and added convenience for our customers anvtime they arc away from home. The card will also play a role in enhancing United's comprehensive line of voice and data products and sen ices." "It is our intent to provide our traveling United customers the opport unity to have convenient calling services and a choice of long distance companies. The United Telephone Calling Card does just that.” Kelley said. The cards will be offered by the business office to business and residence customers for long distance calling. The new cards can also be used for local calling through a pay phone without using coins. The United Telephone Calling Card is provided free of charge and lets customers charge l<Kal and long distance calls to their l«K?al telephone bill. United customers can request free cards for family members or employees. United also offers a restricted Calling Card which lets customers pay for calls made to them. Restricted cards are frequently used so college students can only call home or businesses can pav for calls to them by customers or traveling employees. To order a United Telephone Calling Card, customers can call their business office. New customers will be offered the card by the business office w hen they establish service. MATURE DRIVING COURSE I indenwood has joined with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to offer a 55 Alive'Mature Driving course. A ARP developed the eight-hour classroom refresher course to help drivers 50 years of age or older improve their skills and prevent traffic accidents. The first session of the course will be held Monday. October Bth from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Tuesday. October 9th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lindenwood in
Donaldson. A repeat of this course will be held on Thursday. Nov. 16. 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. FST and Friday. November 17, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. FST.
