BUSINESS GIRLS PLAN COOKIE SALE Members of the Walkerton Professional and Business Woman's Gub will sell homemade cookies at the Great Walkerton Pumpkin Festival Saturday from 9:00 a m. to 12 noon at DeJoss Pharmacy. Plans were made at the meeting Thursday night at the Presbyterian Church. It was agreed that anyone not baking cookies would make a monetary’ donation. Please take vour three dozen cookies to the drug store before 9:00 a m. or call Marilvn Roush or Norma F.ddinger. Beckv Reed presided at her first meeting as president and opened the meeting with a poem of welcome. She also reviewed the club's constitution and by-laws and membership lists. Dues for 43 members were received and members reminded to pav for unclaimed
dinner reservations and back dues. Appreciation was extended to the club from Jill Bel! and Angie Rohrer for their scholarship money for college Binhdavs of Carol Powers, Jean Cole. Karen Johnson. Norma F.ddinger and Velma Barden were honored with Karen Johnson receiving the birthday prize. A delightful program on flower arranging was presented bv Marsha Reese with the beautiful arrangement later awarded to Helen Gark Hostesses included Beckv Reed. Alice Walker. Martv Malstaff.
