“SOUTHWEST CHAPEL” Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, Inc. State Road 23, Groena Twp. 287-4181 (Collect) “MEMORIES ARE FOREVER” I All families in a life time, will face the situation of selecting a funeral home for a loved one. This is the most difficult time of your life. You want to be prepared, yet you do not want to face the situation until the time of the loss. I, being a funeral director for the past 25 years, understand exactly your position on this topic. However, if only families would stop, ask questions, and plan, the unexpected would be so much easier on all concerned. You do not have to pre-pay, think about pre-planning at no cost. We suggest that all families know your funeral director In advance, know his operation as to handling a funeral service and observe his funeral home. You as a family and your loved one, deserves the best you can offer, so the memories can be cherished, not tarnished. Our family offers to you, free tour, answer and question period, prior to pre-planning a funeral at a funeral home of your choice. Also, all families should be aware, that pre-paid funeral expenses, in an Irrevocable Funeral Trust Agreement held by a bank of your choice, can be changed to another funeraThome. We at Hanley & Sons Funeral Home, want you as a family unit, to be prepared and know the answers prior to a loss of a loved one. Remember, "Memories Are Forever”. Jon K. SENIOR CITIZENS BOWLING NEWS The Senior Bowlers saw their numbers increase this week, with both old and new faces joining them for a fine afternoon of fun and exercise at The Walkerton Shady Lanes. The scores tell the story of the competitiveness of the group and the concentration of effort the Seniors put into their sport. The ladies saw some very close contests in each of the catagories. The high scratch game of 185 rolled bv Merle Bruesh just topped Jean Burden's 181 game. Virginia Spillman came in a distant 3rd with a nice 157 game. High handicap game was Spillman’s 235, closely followed by Bruesh’s and Burden’s fie 232 game. Irene Gjemre placed 3rd with 209. High series total was bowled by Bruesh who posted a 462 series, followed by Burden’s 447 and Spillman’s 412 effort. It’s just the 2nd week of the season and real competition is sure making the afternoons interesting! The gents were not to be out done, either. Bud Wieman’s 205 high scratch game topped the rest. Dennis Burden had a 191 game for 2nd place, followed by Harold Schweder’s 189 game. Burden’s 231 high handicap game beat Barney Heister’s 206 and Schweder’s 204 games. High series total was Schweder’s 531 series, and was the only one above the 500 mark. Wienman’s 486 was next highest. As the muscle "kinks” are worked out and the rhythem is re-established, the scores will, no doubt, increase, and the rivalry will really become serious. There are still plenty of spots to be filled on the lanes and Seniors are welcome to join the group, establish a handicap, and enjoy good fellowship with the lively members of vour community. Come see how "The Cookies Crumble” as you get your weekly exercise and relaxation, under Rosc<»e's management and direction.
