She was born on May 18. 1930. in Plymouth to Erwin and Martha Koontz Wolff. She lived in Plymouth area her entire life. She married Robert Hendricks on Dec. 31. 1948. who survives. North Dakota but spent most of her life in this area. She married Peter Monakis. on Sept 11. 1923, in South Bend, who preceded her in death on Nov. 17. 19’’!. She was the owner of The Deluxe Sandwich Shop for 25 years, retiring in 1970. Surviving are a son. William I . of North Liberty; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a sister. New York and lived in this area for 39 years, coming from Union Star. Missouri. He married Patricia K. Jolly, on May 23. 1979, in Fort Wayne. He was a psychiatrist. Surviving are his wife, a daughter. Jennifer Cummins, of Salida. Colorado; four sons, Francis A. Jr., of North Liberty, Daniel J., of St. Louis. Missouri. Michael F.. of Traverse City, Michigan, and Stephen J., of South Bend and six grandchildren. Private services and burial were held. Veirs and Geraldine A. Viers, of .308 W. Price Street. North Liberty, were killed following a head on automobile crash Saturday morning. The couple were pronounced dead at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday at the LaPorte Hospital. The accident occured on Indiana 4. west of LaPorte and a LaPorte woman. Toni Russell. 20, was critically injured, west of the intersection with LaPorte County Road 150 East. The accident remains under investigation. Roger D. Veirs. 40. was born on Jan. 24. 1950. in Rensselaer. He married Geraldine on August 4. 1984. in North Liberty. Surviving are a daughter. Jennifer A., at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold T. Veirs. of LaPorte; a sister. Karen Coolev, of LaPorte and a brother, Ronald Allen Veirs. stationed in San Diego, CAlif., with the U.S. Navy. He was employed at the Hedwin Corp., of LaPorte. for 10 years. He was a U.S. Naw veteran of the Vietnam War. Geraldine A.
