daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Donn McDaniel and daughter, of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, spent the weekend here visiting Gail and Mae McDaniel and her relatives. Our sympathy this week goes to the Kathryn Lawson family and the Lura Mae Pommert family. They were both residents of Miller's Merry Manor nursing home. North Carolina, spent last week visiting her sister. Audrey Solmos. of the Savoie Apartments. and other relatives and friends in the area. A large crowd of relatives and friends attended the 50th wedding anniversary of Ray and Evelyn Stoneburner held Sunday afternoon at the Tyner 1.0.0. F. Lodge Hall. They received many cards and gifts. On Sunday morning, at 8:30 a.m. Pastor Wayne Gerber, of The Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, will hold the service at Peppermint Hill at Potato Creek State Park for the campers and everyone is welcome. Congratulations to Warren and Ruth Baughman, of Bremen, who will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at the Pine Creek Fellowship Hall on Sunday. August 12. They were former North Liberty residents and lived on Pine Road. Congratulations also to Ervin Stuntz. founder of Stuntz and Hochstetler Christmas tree farm, who celebrated his 90ih birthday with an open house Sunday afternoon in the farm’s Fellowship Hall. Mr. Stuntz has brought a lot of happiness at Christmas time and made lots of friends all over the countryside in selling his Christmas trees down through the past 40 years. Sorry. I don't have much news this week as I went on a mystery trip with friends on Monday. Here it is. Tuesday morning and it sure feels like fall out. but I’m thankful for the wonderful rain last Saturday and that the 4-H kids had a great week weather-wise, not too hot and not too cold, at the fair.
