Walkerton has had an annual fireworks celebration for over 50 years which began during the depression when two families decided to set off their fireworks together in the park. The next year more families added their fireworks and the celebration grew. Through the years our fireworks have gained a reputation for their excellence throughout the area and many people come every year to enjoy them. The Friends of the Fourth through the help we receive work to keep these celebrations going for another 50 years.
