Family Dinner To Celebrate 40th Anniversary Sydney Carl (Bob) Awald and the former Mary Ann Romine, of Route 3. Walkerton, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary, on Sunday. July 22. They were married in the First Christian Church, in Knox. They have four children. Pamela Hawk, of Walton; John Awald, of Henryville; Jill Hazelton and Jack Awald, both of Hamlet. Sydney retired in 1987 from Bethleham Steel Mills where he was a crane operator for 23 years. Mary Ann was employed by the Starke County Welfare Department for 12 vears until she retired in 1986. A family dinner partv at Tippecanoe Place Restaurant, South Bend, has been planned for their celebration. STEELE REUNION HELD The 90th annual reunion of the Steele family was held Sunday. July I Sth. 1990, at Stuntz and Hochstetler Pines with 37 members attending. The oldest person present was Grant Steele, age 85, and the youngest was Krystin Egendoerfer, age 3.
