More than 40 adults have been busy preparing for the above event. This is being sponsored by the United Methodist. Presbyterian and St. Patrick’s Catholic churches. The director is Linda Holland assisted by Debbie Moerman. who is in charge of the tribal mothers. In charge of marketplace crafts are Sue Reinhold and Judy Kruyer. Nancy Hockett will be in charge of games and recreation assisted by Pat Orcutt. Sister Dian will be the story teller each day as the tribes visit the marketplace. The past two weeks, the Inde-pendent-News had a list of other helpers. Another seamstress this year is Myrna Daube. Next Monday. July 9. tents will be going up and the marketplace shops will be erected. All tribal parents and craft persons will be bringing in their supplies. We will be getting ready for the visitation of the twelve tribes of Isreal as in 29 A.D. when Jesus taught us how to be disciples. Please get your child, grandchild or neighbor child registered. We have plenty of room this year and ' are preparing for more children since summer school is over and before family vacations in July and August. We want to know the <

Crane Tree Lane. Koontz Lake, passed away at 8:40 a.m. on Saturday. June 30. at the LaPorte Hospital, after an illness. He was born on March 29. 1912, in Chicago, and came here 16 years ago from Chicago. He married Anne Stenzoski. on April 27, 1935. in Chicago, who survives. He was a retired photo engraver with AlcoGrevure. in Chicago. Surviving along with his wife are five daughters. Barbara Madaffari, of Boca Raton. Florida. Lenore Adams, of Clarendon Hills. Illinois. Weinman. 71. of Route 5, Walkerton, passed away at 4:00 p.m.. on Friday. June 29. at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. South Bend. She was bom on July 3. 1918. in Chicago and she lived at Plymouth for 11 years, moving from Chicago. She married Charles “Bud" Weinman, on December 30. 1939. in Chicago, who survives. Also surviving are a son. Keith of Longmont. Colorado; one sister. Sylvia Pahalek, of Dolton. Illinois and two grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday at Chape! Hill Gardens South, Worth, Illinois. The Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, were in charge of the arrangements. ROLLO L. SKILES Rollo L. “Roy” Skiles, 71. of 3421 Scarlet Maple Court. South Bend, passed away on Thursday in his home. He was born on January 4. 1919, in South Bend and lived in Tucson, Arizona from 1985 to 1989. He married Doris L. Judd, on December 15. 1956. in South Bend, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters. Sandra Sue Ross, of Koontz Lake and Trudy Mark, of South Bend; a son. Leßoy Skiles, of Walkerton; a stepdaughter. Bonnie Shumway, of Granger; three stepsons. LeMar Shuppert. of South Bend. Richard Shuppert. of Campbellsville. Kentucky and Kevin Shuppert, of Berwyn. Illinois; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grand-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son. Services were held at 2:00 p.m.. on Sunday at the Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. South Bend. Missouri, formerly of Walkerton and Dowagiac. Michigan died unexpectedly. June 28. at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital. Columbia. Missouri. He was born December 25. 1918. in South Bend, the son of Byron W. Capes. Sr. and Carrie Robbins Capes. On August 30. 1969, he was married in Decatur. Georgia to Norma Jurez who survives along with their three children. John. James, and Janice, all of Sturgeon. Missouri. Other surviving children are Kris M. Capes, of Miami. Florida. Stephanie Lynn. South Bend. Candy Susito, Plymouth, and Nancv Andrews, of California; eight grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. He was preceded in death by Marjorie Zellars Capes and one sister and one brother. Surviving sisters and brothers are Harriet Courtney. Merilyn Williams. Regina Burke. Dean Capes, all of Florida and Milner R. Capes, of Walkerton. Mr. Capes was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Michigan. He was a 4 year U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was retired from General Electric Co., of Puerto Rico and Atlanta, Georgia before moving from Michigan to Sturgeon. Missouri. Funeral services were held at the Fenton Funeral Chapel, Sturgeon, MO. Saturday. June 30. at 11:00 a.m. Interment was in Mr. Horeb Cemetery. Sturgeon. MO. DUANE STAHLY Duane M. Stahly, 69. 914 Ginger Tree Lane. Port Orange. Florida passed away Tuesday. June 26 at Memorial Hospital. Ormond Beach. Florida. He was bom on April 12. 1921 in Nappanee to Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Stahly (deceased). He was a consultant for the Indiana Division of Labor. South Bend, until his retirement in 1986. He was a Gunners Mate Ist class in the U.S. Navy. World War 11. serving in the Pacific theater, prior to his employment with the Labor Division, he worked in the production department of Bendix Corp, of South Bend for 21 years. Tenn, and lived in North Liberty since 1942. coming from Tenn. On July 16. 1945 he married Charlotte Cine, in New York City, who preceded him in death on August 24. 1979. Surviving are two daughters. He was employed at Studebaker Corp. ! after 12 years and retired from the * South Bend Community School Corp, after 22 years of service.
