Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cole and daughters. Brooke and Amber, of Charlotte, North Carolina were recent house guests of his mother. Jean Cole. Several family dinners were held during the week with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cole of Niles, Michigan, hosting one of them for his brother’s family and their mother. Miller’s Home Case was the site of another gathering which included all of the above, plus special guests. Mary Jane Beaty, Richard’s grandmother; Elinore Hostetter, a great-aunt from Leigh High Acres, Florida; and special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Laizure of Walkerton. Other friends and relatives also visited the family adding to their pleasure and enjoyment of the time spent in Indiana. Rev. and Mrs. Robert Bowman will serve as hosts for the Saturday night dinner of the Koontz Lake Conservation Club, at the clubhouse. Mrs. Vi Masterman has just returned after spending two weeks with Fred and Janice Shultz in Chesterfield, Missouri. Mr. and Mrs. Milner R. Capes were in Sturgeon, Missouri on Friday and Saturday to attend the funeral of his brother, Charles Ray Capes. They were accompanied by their daughter, Vonnie Kitchen and granddaughter, Jennifer. While in Sturgeon, they were guests of George and Barbara Rush. Jean Cole served as a voting delegate at the 94th National PTA Convention held in Indianapolis. Representing the Indiana PTA Board of Managers. Jean spent most of her time in the business sessions of the convention. Since Indiana was the hostess state, however, all state representatives also worked in many ways to help the other PTA members attending from all 50 states, plus the European Congress and representatives

from Bermuda. Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. One of the highlights for Jean was meeting and visiting with Mrs. White, mother of the late Ryan White, who spoke at the National Convention. CLASS REUNION PLANNED A class reunion for the class of 1985 will be held on Saturday. Juh 28. at Jellystone Park, near Plymouth, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Come in the main gate and make sure streamers are attached to the antennas. If you have addresses for any of the class members call Karen at 936-2333, days or 586-2488 before 9:00 p.m. BURCH FAMILY REUNION The family of Marguerite and Dwight Burch, of Koontz Lake, gathered for a three-day reunion June 24-27 at the Pokagon State Park, Angola. The 45 people who attended stayed at the Potawatomi Inn at the park. Special evening events included the showing of old family movies, crazy bingo and a home talent night. It was easy to spot family members, as they all wore green T-shirts with a white birch tee and the lettering "Burch Family Tree.” Family members traveled from California. Kentucky, Michigan, as well as other parts of Indiana. This enjoyable event will be remembered for years to come. ENJOY VISIT Mrs. Roy Hostetter, of Lehigh Acres. Florida, returned home Thursday after a two weeks visit with her sister. Mrs. Mary Jane Beaty and other relatives. While here, the sisters traveled to Ohio to visit a sister. Mrs. Ada Felix, in Pemberville, then on to Belle Center to see some cousins at the home of Ada Pauline Lenhart. Old memories were enjoyed here by the six cousins. The last day, on the way home, we made four, quick stops to see friends of Elinore who spend the winters in Florida but live in the summer at Decatur, Berne. Markle and North Manchester, Indiana. On this lengthly three-day trip, Mrs. Ruth Ullery was our very capable and helpful driver for the 500 mile pleasure trip.
