President, Linda Craft, opened the meeting. Several prayer requests were asked for followed with prayer. A big thank you was given to all those who helped with the bake sale which netted $338.50. Gist and Dick Doezema who were our missionary speakers a week ago and Evelyn Dickie, of Hamilton Grove for our birthday remembrance. Our Mother-Daughter Banquet will be held on May 10. at the Presbyterian Church. The Prebyterian ladies will serve the meal and the price is $5.50 for adults. 6-11 year olds, $3.00 and under 6 will be free. Tickets are on sale at the church office and from circle leaders, Cheryl Flaugher and Veryl Wathen. Reservations must be in by May 7. Several ladies are attending the Day of Inspiration, at Albright United Methodist Church, in Mishawaka. on April 25.

Mrs. Richard Anderson presented the program and devotions titled Gift of Hope. She used the scripture from Romans 5:1-5. Also many voices were heard from the scriptures where the Lord gives us hope. We are the light of the world and even in the darkness we can feel the presences of God and have hope. She closed with prayer. Refreshments were served by the Hope Cirlce. Lakeville were among the 187 Hoosier veterinarians who were named to the Indiana Veterinary Academy of Veterinary Medicine after completing 40-hours of continuing education. AMONG CAST Katie Hershberger, of Walkerton. daughter of Dr. and Mrs. G. Richard Hershberger, is among the cast at the University of Mississippi who is a character in one of four one-act operas presented on campus recently. Katie is in the opera the storyline for “The Women.”
