Love, JEFF PHYSICAL EXAMS AT UREY MIDDLE SCHOOL This year the Urey Middle School Athletic Department will be giving physical examinations to students who are interested. The examinations will be given on Thursday, May 10. from 8:15 to 11:15 a.m. ai Urey. Physical examinations are a requirement for students who plan on participating in elementary or middle school sports. An athlete must have a yellow physical form completed with signatures and the $7.00 fee turned in to the office before noon on Wed.. May 9. Checks should be made payable to Urey Middle School. Parents and students are to complete Parts I. 11 and 111 on the yellow physical form. For school year, please put 1990-91. and your grade level should be the grade you will be in next year. Dr. Heckman-Davis and Dr. Engel will be giving the physical exams. This examination is only for students entering grades 5. 6,7 and 8.

BUSINESS WOMEN MEET Walkerton Business and Professional Women gathered at The Office and Food Factory, on Thursday. April 26. for their monthly dinner meeting. Following the repeating of the “Lord’s Prayer’’ members and guest enjoyed the salad bar, chicken and roast beef dinner. The guest for the evening was Robin Ream. The secretary’ and* treasurer’s reports were given by Becky Reed. The birthdays for February. March and April were celebrated with Linda Relos, Iva Clark, Barb Burket, Helen Hemig. Maggie Gaddis. Patty Koch and Shirley Ferency donating to the birthday pig. Receiving gifts were Linda Relos, Barb Burket and Patty Koch. The club will donate SIOO.OO to the Friends of the Fourth towards the fireworks display. Sickness report was given by Myri Dixon. It was announced that the scholarship applications were in and the committee will meet to announce the winners at John Glenn and Oregon-Davis High Schools. Candidates for “The Woman Os The Year” were announced as follows: Sue Urbin, Linda Relos and Karen Johnson. Members voted the announcement will be made at the May meeting. The slate of officers for 1990-91 were announced as follows: president, Becky Reed; vice president, Alice Walker; secretary. Marty Mal staff and treasurer, Mickey Wolfenbarger. All donated to the flower fund. A poem. “Forgetfulness” was read by Iva Clark followed by a white elephant sale held by the committee for the evening which was chaired by Maggie Gaddis and assisting were Kathy McKesson.
