RUSSELL P. WELLER Russell P. Weller, 86, of 108 Roosevelt Road. Walkerton, passed awav at 2:55 p.m., on Sunday, April 22. at Michiana Community Hospital. South Bend. He was born on May 17, 1903. in Walkerton and was a lifelong area resident. He married Emma Arbon Bradford, in South Bend, who preceded him in death on June 24, 19 7 7. Surviving are a daughter. Louise Newcomer, of Walkerton: a son. Richard L.. of LaPorte; two grandchildren: four great-grandchildren and a brother. Harold, of Walkerton. Sen ices were held at 1:00 p.m.. on Wednesday. April 25. at the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home. Walkerton with Rev. Guy Bridges, officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Walkerton. He was retired after 42 years of service from the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad and was a former crane operator. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity. PATRICIA G. HAZLETT Patricia Gail Hazlett. 54. passed away at 8:52 p.m., on Wed.. April 18. in Porter Memorial Hospital. Valparaiso. A resident of LaPorte. Mrs. Hazlett was bom on March 5. 1935, in Grovertown to Floyd and Dozie Troyer Reed. She married James Hazlett on Oct. 29. 1955. in Knox, who survives. Also surviving are her mother. Dozie Reed. DIPERT Donald W Dipert. 88. of Valparaiso. formerly of Koontz Lake, passed away on Monday. April 16. He was born on Dec. 13. 1901, in Starke County to William and Etta 1 (Beard) Dipert. He married Hilda Miller on July 3. 1923, in Crown Point, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter. Iris Lundgren, of Valparaio; a son. Donald Dipert. Jr., of Illinois; a ' sister. Loda Sheets, of Hobart; four grandchildren and 11 great-grand-children. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday at the Moeller Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Schilling. ’ officiating. Burial was in the Grovertown Cemetery. He had been a Valparaiso resident for the last six months. He was a graduate of Gary Emerson High School. He retired as a Kroger Supermarket store manager after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Hamlet. Memorials can be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
