WOMAN’S CLUB MEETS The April Bth meeting of the GFWC Walkerton Woman’s Community Club was opened with a beautiful rendition of the song. “1 Walked Today Where Jesus Walked.” Hostesses for the day were Evelyn Sobat. Helen Hunter. Ann Rockwell and Bea Seaholm. Devotions by Alice Walker consisted of a poem and short story written by her and a lovely prayer. The poem. “Rocky Mountain Magic” is one she had entered in the annual GFWC contest. The secretary. Mildred McKesson, gave her report and read a letter from Mrs. Frank Kramer, from Phoenix, which enclosed her yearly dues: also one from Rene Bauman who had been the guest speaker at the March 16th meeting.
