Len Jaske made the motion to allow the temporary positions of lieutenant and sergeant. Seconded by Maggie Gaddis. Carried. Gassensmith said that he has a complement of twelve reserve officers, but only has three men in the reserve. Holmes explained that the landfill won’t accept either of these items. There is a fee for the pickup of special items based on the size of the article. Pickup scheduling and payment will have to be made at the Clerk's office prior to the pickup. Holmes made several suggestions for the disposal of leaves. 1. A town compost heap. 2. Parking a truck, in a certain place, at night where residents can dump leaves. 3. Using a call-in basis of leaf pickup by town employees. This refuse contract is an extension of our existing contract with some additional provisions. and changes. One change is. that dumpsters will be required for multi-family dwellings with three or more units. Len Jaske made the motion to approve the contract. Seconded by Walt Heil. Carried.
