in death on March 25. 1975. She was a member of the North Liberty Baptist Church. Surviving arc a daughter. Bettv Mills, of Culbertson. Nebraska; two sons. Robert L.. of Highland Park. Illinois and Charles D.. of Fort Lauderdale. Florida; 13 grandchildren and a sister. Ethel Enfield, of South Bend. Services were held at 11:00 a m . on Saturday, at the Nusbaum-Elkm Funeral Home. Walkerton with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Walkerton. JOSEPH DeSLOOVER Joseph DeSloover. 56 of U.S. 6 East. Walkerton, passed awav at 2:30 am., on Saturday . March 24. at Miami Valiev Hospital, Dayton, Ohio, following a March 8 traffic accident near Dayion. He was born on May 31. 1933. in Arpin. Wis.. and lived in the Michiana area most of his life. He married Joan R. Luczyk, on Feb. 6. 1954. in South Bend, who survives. He was a truck driver for Pronto Express. Vandalia. Ohio. Also surviving arc three daughters. Linda Allsop and Bonnie Goldt. both of W alkerton and Judv Reeder, of North Liberty; a son. Rick, of Plymouth; 15 grandchildren; two sisters. Janette Hunter, of North Fori Lauderdale. Florida and Gloria Abrams, of Kissimmee. Florida and two stepbrothers. Jack Foote, of Goose Creek. S.C. and Larry Shubert, of Marshfield. Wis. The accident occurred when the semi-truck driven by Mr. DeSloover collided with a pickup truck at an intersection about 25 miles north of Dayton. according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Four occupants of the pickup were killed instantly, according to police Services were held at 2:00 p m., on Tuesday. March 27. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Walkerton with burial and military graveside services at Woodlawn Cemetery. Walkerton. He was a veteran of the Korean War. a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1954. North Liberty; American Legion Post 27, Plymouth; Teamsters Local 364. South Bend and a member of the church.
