Introduce Healthy Snacking Early .a® If
When kids come home from school, what is the first thing they do? Reach into the cookie jar or grab an ice cream bar from the freeter. Children need snacks in order to sustain a well-balanced diet rich in essential nutrients. Encouraging your children to eat yogurt after school is the best snack guidance you could offer. Yogurt is an ideal food to introduce to children soon after they begin to eat cereal. The Dannon Company's Cultured Cook points out that. “Yogurt is an acquired taste. The way to make sure children will enjoy eating yogurt throughout their lifetime is to introduce it at an early age.' Yogurt is an excellent source of calcium and protein without a lot of fat.
