STILL TIME Friday, March 2, at 12:00 noon, is the deadline for filing for this year's primary election. It is also the deadline for filing for election to the John Glenn School Board, this the actual election to take office in July of this year. The 1990 election is not a presidential election and that often has a definite affect on the fall election itself. However, the primary election, in many cases, are just as important or maybe even more so than the fall election, putting the candidates on the fall ballot. In some areas, St. Joseph County for instance, on the Democratic side, there are always races to be decided, and the winner is more often than not the heavyfavorite in the fall, thus making the primary election very important. Also in many cases in various parties, depending on the location and the political trends of that party, candidates go unopposed in the primary, thus putting them automatically on the fall ballot. The school board election is very important to all of the patrons of the John Glenn School Corporation. This year three of the seven seats are to be filled. In all three townships, Polk, Lincoln and Liberty, the incumbent has filed for re-election. In two of the townships, Polk and Liberty, opposition has also filed and papers have been picked up in Lincoln but formal filing has not yet taken place. In Polk Township Nilas Miller, incumbent, will be opposed by at least Terrv Shepherd. In Liberty Township, incumbent Pam Craft will be opposed by Dan Patrick. In Lincoln Township, Bill Millar has again tiled and as of this writing no formal filing has been made to oppose him. There is still time, but it is very short, for anyone interested in filing to do so. It must be done before noon on Friday. It is good to see interest in these positions as people are interested in our school corporation. We also hope that those desiring to run for any office, whether local or on the county and state level, also get their filing done at once in the proper manner.

This year's comedy consists of three one-act plays by two of Broadway's hottest playwrights. Michael Frayn and Robert Anderson. The one-act comedies were taken from "The Two of Us" by Michael Frayn and "You Know 1 Can’t Hear You When the Water’s Running" by Robert Anderson. Again, the nationally acclaimed touring company. The dinner theater, sponsored by ihe Board of Trustees of Ancilla College, is a fund raiser for the College. The proceeds will be used for equipment in the various academic departments. The dinner begins at 7 :00 p.m., with the plav following. Both are in the Ancilla Auditorium. Since seating is limited, it is suggested that you send for your tickets shortly.
