and Marjorie Weber, lorn and I racex Duff and Becky and Du Wax ne Burch. Gladys Sheneman called on Pau line and Bob Powers, on Saturdax afternoon. ( an anyone tell me who built and where the first house was built in North libertx? Also who lives on that site today? It would be interesting to know, so if you can find out anx information, please let me know Our svmpathy goes to the Albright family in the passing of Charles Albright last Tuesday . He was a brother to Rax and Mae M< Daniel. Mildread MJndafer was admitted to the Michiana Hospital, in South Bend, last Thursday. She is critical, so please remember her and Claude as he is having back problems. Gladys Sheneman called on several of the residents at Miller’s Merrx Manor. Sunday afternoon and run into Emery and Berdine Singleton, of North Libertx. who are now residents there and also Mrs. Bertha Urbin of Walkerton. She later played her piano for them all while they waited for their supper to be served. Also Edna Steele of the Savoie Apartments was admitted last week. Dorothy Reed. Ethel Hillegas. Florence Weiss, and Helen Bricker all went to Miller's Merry Manor last Wednesday and took their sister. Vylet Baker, out to Lea's Restaurant, where they all enjoyed dinner together. Well, here it is. Januarx already, 1990. So glad the snow is fast disappearing and the iec is gone. I remember back 52 years ago, January 4 when my son was born and we lived in Roy Sheneman tenent house on Road 6. Dr. Thompson, of Tyner, was our
familv doctor and he and his nurse. Georgia Johnson, came out to our house and delivered our son. Dennis for only $25.00. What a difference today. Dr Thompson will never be forgotten as he had patients all over and he would go anxtime, dax or night, when called. Not so today. In 1949, when the Thompsons celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, he estimated that he had delivered over 4<NX) babies and he delivered many more after that Many times the parents of the new babies he delivered had themselves been delivered bx him. 1 es. he was a wonderful doctor and will alwavs be remembered by those w ho knew him. Sixteen ''Friends and Neighbors" met last Tuesday. Januarx 2 ai one o'clock at the Community Budding where they all enjoyed playing bingo. Snacks were also enjoyed and many won nice prizes. They decided to meet again on the first Tuesday of February and play again, so please come join us for the fun and fellowship, between one and three. This time, please bring a prize to add to the donations. An offering will be taken to pay for the use of the building each month.
