OBITUARIES
BLANCHE M. WELSH Blanche M. Welsh. 86. of 519 Grove. Mishawaka, passed away recently. in Countryside Place. She was born on November 7. 1902. in Marshall County and w? . a lifetime area resident. In 1929. in Tyner. as Blanche M. Drake, she married Forest Welsh, who preceded her in death in 1988. She was formerly employed at Uniroyal and the cafeteria at Notre Dame. Surviving are a daughter. Margaret J. Paskiet. of Mishawaka; a son. Charles, of Hollywood. Florida; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters. Lola Pavey. North Liberty; Annabelle Miller, of Walkerton and Evclyne Davis, of Plymouth and three brothers. Keith Drake of Tyner; John Drake and Albertus Drake, both of Plymouth. Graveside services will be held at a later date with burial in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. The Bubb Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

JOHN KANIA John Kania. 79. of Indiana Ave.. South Bend, passed away at 8:30 p.m.. on Friday. December 29. at his home. He was born on January 13. |9|o. in Poland and he lived in this area for 69 years coming from Poland. On February 12. 1934. he married Frances Rumak. in South Bend, who survives. He was an employee of the former Bike Webb Co., where he worked for 30 years and also of Avionics, where he worked for 20 years. Surviving along with his wife are two daughters. Angela Kloski. of South Bend and Marv Pawlak, of Michigan; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two sisters. Agnes Jaworski, of North Liberty and Frances Nitka. of Elkhart. Services were held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. South Bend, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. South Bend. He was a member of the church. GLADYS HALTER Gladys E. Halter. 68. of Ordway .
Colorado, passed awav on December 13. in Pueblo, Colorado. She was born on August 9. |921. in Russ County Kansas to Flaves and Ethel Dreany Edwards. Surviving are a daughter. Dar letta Collier, of West Virginia; a son. Mark McMahon, of Nesada; three grandchildren; one greatgrandchild and a sister. Joan Downev. Uorba Linda. California. She was preceded in death b\ her parents; her husband. Lawrence Halter; one brother. Junior Edwards and two sisters. Frances Foos and Sherla Szobtxsan. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. December 15. at the Hillcrest Cemetery. Rocky Ford. Colorado, with Pastor Sam Swanson, of Ordway Assembly of God officiating.
