ENJOY ANNUAL JOHNSON TWP. REUNION The 51st annual Johnson Township Reunion was held on Sunday. September 24. at the Community Building with 57 present for the usual good dinner. Floyd Dipert gave the table prayer. The meeting was called to order by the president. Floyd Dipert, leading in the pledge to the flag. Hie secretary's report was read and approved. Sidney Smith read a poem and Violet Wolfe and Maxine Worthington played ■’Whispering Hope”, in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Elburt Place. Mr. Smith, historian, reminded us of the games we used to play such as baseball, fox and goose, pump, pump pull away and hide and go seek. Burdell Williams donated pictures to be hung in the Community Building. Officers for next year will be Floyd Dipert. president; Roy Williams. vice-president; Ruth Ullery. secretary-treasurer; Sidney Smith, historian and on the food committee are Nedra Williams. John and Ruth Dreessen and Larmon and Peggy Kaser.

Mrs. Wolfe and Mrs. Worthington played the violin and piano again for us. They also played the anniversary song for John and Esther Garab's 58th wedding anniversary. Door prizes were awarded to Eula Campbell. Evelyn Wisler. Danny Dipert. Carl Steinke and Marilee Mantick. Mr. Dipert conducted a white elephant sale and Larmon Kaser and Herbert Mantick assisting. Ice cream was served later in the afternoon. Everyone had a very enjoyable day and are looking forward to next year’s reunion. UNITED METHODIST WOMEN MEET The United Methodist Women held their meeting at the Church September 21. Our president, Linda Craft, led us in our purpose. Prayer requests for Vylet Baker. Goldie Chapman, Robert Campbell. Gaynelle Denaut, Wally Pickavet and Mr. and Mrs. James Capek. Jr., followed by prayer. A donation was sent to the Hamilton Grove Home for Christmas gifts for the residents. Those

attending the district meeting at Mishawaka East United Methodist Church were Mrs. Ray Chapman. Mrs. Velma Stahly. Mrs. Richard Kickbush. Linda Klinedinst. Linda Craft. Mrs. Alice Bostwick and Pastor Marilyn Gebert. Dates to remember are our U.M.W. Conference meeting at Peru on October 7. Two of our dedialed ladies will be honored. Mrs. Mary Jane Beaty and Mrs. Goldie Skinner. October 3 and 4 is our district bus tour through Indiana stopping at our United Methodist Children. Aged and Abused Women's homes. Our next general meeting will be October 19 at the Church. Program chairman is Mrs. Bostwick. Please mark this on your calendar and attend. Bring a guest. Program chairman for the evening was Mrs. Ray Chapman. She presented the issues of racism through the title "Nothing Less Than And Inclusive Church”. Groups were formed and questions discussed. A skit was nicely given by Mrs. Charles Hostetler and Mrs. Harold Knowlton. Mrs. Richard Kickbush gave devotions intertwined through the program. The Hope Circle served refreshments.
