Mildred Casey opened the meeting with a lovely bit of poetry and Mary Jane Beaty gave the devotions. Verda Karn was chairman of the hostesses of the meeting. Roll call was answered with "An Interesting Experience I Had This Summer" and the responses were varied and fun. The secretary. Mildred McKesson, read the minutes and also the correspondence and letter from Frances Sohn, tendering her resignation for reasons of ill health, and one from Gertrude Oderwald thanking the club for their "get-well" card to her. Two officers were installed. Ruth Rusch was installed as treasurer and Ella Remus as vice-presi-dent. Alice Walker was the installing officer. President Casey proposed a raise in dues since the state and federal dues have been raised. This was approved by the membership. “Get-well" cards will be sent to Evelyn Ferguson. Edith Thomas and Lucille Schuster. Publicity chairman. Nadine Keiper, had an article about the club's progress published in the August edition of Senior Life. On Sep tember 15. the club will have its Membership Tea. Members are urged to bring guests.
