Last Tuesday morning three American Dream Tour buses pick-
ed up people at Bremen. Plymouth, Lakeville and South Bend and started out on a one day Mystery Trip, destination unknown. It was really a fun day as we were all trying to guess where we were going. Well our first stop was at the “Tall Oaks Inn Bed and Breakfast Restaurant, at Grand Beach, at New Buffalo, Michigan. We were served breakfast and then enjoyed touring the lovely home with eight beautiful suites and three single bedrooms. A lovely place to go on your honeymoon, only 5149.00 a night. Our next stop was at a lovely restaurant called G. J. Platter at Paw Paw, Michigan, and then we drove on to South Haven, Michigan where we shopped, visited a winery and then we enjoyed watermelon and cantaloupe balls in a large watermelon and a delicious homemade roll as a snack on a floating riverboat called the “Idler". From here we went to Sunrise Farms near Benton Harbor where we toured the Jakway log cabin built in 1835 and was lived in by Indians, trappers and farmers and still has the original possessions. We then went to a huge bam where they were packing beautiful red and green peppers to be shipped to chain stores all over the country. We then had the privilege to pack a basket of fruit to bring home with us. From here we drove to Bennett’s Belgium Farm, where we took wagon rides through the woods or trolley rides down the road. All three bus loads met there and enjoyed a winer roast with the Silver Threads entertaining and then at 8 o'clock, we all departed for our own destinations hoping we can all go again next year on another mystery trip. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Reason and children, of Leaf River. Illinois, were weekend guests of Tim and Shirley Reason. On Sunday all went to Walt and Marj DeMiens for a cookout.
