IT’S FESTIVAL TIME AGAIN! This weekend, namely Friday and Saturday, is Potato Creek Festival time again in North Liberty. This event, now in its 13th year, has proven to be a very popular event with thousands of people from the area coming into North Liberty on these two days to share in the fun. Featuring music, entertainment and lots of food, plus booths by outside vendors, there truly is something for everyone at the Potato Creek Festival. Much of it has remained the same over the years, but when something isn’t broken, why fix it. Giving the people what they want is the thing that keeps bringing them back. It is true some changes have been and must be made. Some events have been dropped, others added over the years, but basically the main format of entertainment and food and fun for two days remains the same. For these two days, the business district of North Liberty will be hustling and bustling with activity as the many booths, local stores, local organizations and special groups brought into town to entertain will share the time of the many who will converge for the festival. Once again, this is living proof of what a small town can do, not an extensive program, but a simple one that the public likes and that actually takes a minimum of work by the local organizers. There is always work to be done, and lots of it, but for the return and satisfaction drawn from the festival by the many visitors, the work is really not that heavy on the local promotors. We encouarge everyone who enjoys any part of this festival to take a little time sometime during the two days, look over the entertainment and visit the North Liberty Potato Creek Festival, a now established feature this time of every year. ^CREMEMBER^fc i-W.
