Three Vehicle Accident Claims Three Lives Judith E. Wildauer. 34. of 284 S. Lawn Court. Bremen, and her eight year old son. Benjamin Paul, were killed at 12:19 p.m„ on Monday. June 26. in an accident at the intersection of U. S. 6 and St. Rd. 106. Bremen. Two other children. Timothy, 14 months old. and brother Mark. 10, were both injured in the three vehicle accident. According to police, Mrs. Wildauer was westbound on U. S. 6 and was waiting to turn left onto Indiana 106, when a semi following her, driven by Roger Drudge. 32, of Warsaw, struck her car and pushed it left of center head-on into a pick-up truck driven by James Pearson, 22. of Sullivan, which resulted in the auto of the Wildauer’s being pushed back into the semi. Pearson complained of neck pain while Drudge was not injured. Bremen police chief. Jim Brown.

was first to arrive at the scene and stated that the Wildauer car had stopped at the stop sign on U. S. 6 and the vehicle's turn signals indicated a desire to turn onto 106. The semi clipped the edge of the Wildauer car pushing it into the path of the pick-up. Benjamin Paul and Timothy were passengers in the back seat of the auto while Mark and his mother were in the front seat. All had their seat belts on. At first the emergency crew did not see Mark as he was under the dashboard of the auto. A special ambulance, a mini operating room, from Memorial Hospital, was called to the scene. Timothy and Mark were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center. South Bend. Timothy passed away at 9:53, on Tuesday, June 27, at St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, as a result of his injuries. Services for the three Wildauers were held at 10:30 a.m. on Frida v. June 30. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Bremen, with pastor Roger Rohde, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s School Special Needs Funds.

The Mishler Funeral Home. Bremen, was in charge of the arrangements. JUDITH E. WILDAUER Judith E. Wildauer, 34, was born on October 20. 1954. at Bremen, to William and Helen Dobelstin Heimlinger. She married Leonard Wildauer of June 21. 1975, at Bremen, who survives, along with a son. Mark; her parents; a sister. Cheryl (Mrs. Charles) Wildauer. of Sandy, Utah; and a brother, William Keith Heimlinger. Los Angeles. California. She was a lifetime Bremen resident and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bremen, and was the 1973 Bremen Junior Miss. She was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, the Parent-Teacher League and Altar Guild. She was a Sunday School teacher and was a substitute teacher at St. Paul's Lutheran School. He was born on September 28, 1980. at Bremen to Leonard and Judith Wildauer and was a lifetime Bremen resident. He was a student entering the third grade at St. Paul's Lutheran School. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bremen, a member of the Martin's Chevrolet T-Ball team and he played in the Bremen Youth Soccer League. TIMOTHY N. WILDAUER Timothy N. Wildauer. 14 months, died as the result of injuries received in the accident on Tuesday, at 9:53 p.m. in the St. Jospeh Medical Center. South Bend. He was bom on April 28. 1988, at Bremen. physical therapy student. Walkerton. were awarded $1,500 critical occupation scholarships from LaPorte Hospital. These scholarships are awarded to persons pursuing careers determined to be of critical need to the hospital. In all 18 students pursuing health care careers recently received $13,350 in scholarships offered through a joint scholarship program sponsored by the LaPorte Hospital Auxiliary, LaPorte Hospital Foundation and LaPorte Hospital.
