Mrs. Jean Cole traveled to North Carolina during her school spring break, to visit her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Rich Cole and new daughter, at Charlotte. Jean is very happy to become a grandmother and found mother and babv doing well. She was accompanied on the trip by her mother, Mrs. Mary Jane Beaty. Both found the spring flowers beautiful in Charlotte compared to Indiana at this time of the year. Mrs. Dorothy Knowlton has returned home after spending two weeks in Bullhead City. Arizona, with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lewis and four months with her daughter and son-in-law . Elaine and Dennis Ludwig. in Jacksonville. Florida. While in Florida they visited Epcot Center and spent time with friends in Largo, Newport Richey. Bonita Springs and Naples. Her vacation was cut short due to the death of her only living sister. Marie Sullivan. of South Bend. The Sullivans were former residents of Walkerton. A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 8. at Fvangel Heights United Methodist Church. Oser 2(X) guests attended the 50th wedding anniversary open house, held on Sundav afternoon, for Harold and Pauline Knowlton, at the Johnson Township Community Building. A Monday afternoon caller of Mrs. Bertha Urbin was her daughter. Mrs. Virginia Guttman, of Wakarusa. She also called on Mr and Mrs. Robert Urbin. George Parks, of Commerce. Texas, was in Walkerton the first part of this week visiting with freinds. Mr. and Mrs. John Cowger returned home from a vacation trip to Texas w ith stopping for a brief visit in Oklahoma with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn. Sr., Mrs. Goldie Skinner. Catherine and Gerald Hahn enjoyed a cookout on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hahn and two sons. North Judson. Mrs. Margaret DeMyer and Mrs. Ethel Fields were callers on Mrs. Bertha Urbin on Monday afternoon. This being the third Saturday of the month, there will not be a designated host for the Conservation Club meeting and pot luck dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. this Saturday . Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Stull returned this past weekend from a vacation in Floria where thev visited with her father. Mr. Herbert Holsinger, for two weeks. Thev also went sight seeing and at Cape Coral thev visited with other relatives. Mrs. Lillah Morrison and Mrs. Vada Stull entertained the McMahons for dinner at a restaurant

in Kingsbury, on Sunday. Miss Martha Schaeffer spent Thursday and Friday with her grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Roert Schaeffer. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mailie. of Bremen, were dinner guests of the Schaffers on Thursday evening.

The shower was given by several aunts and their grandmother. Mrs. Hubert Utery. Games were plaved and refreshments w ere serv ed. I here w ere 33 guests coming from Logansport. Kokomo, Mishawaka. South Bend. Granger and Walkerton. Both ladies received many useful gifts for the coming babies.
