North Liberty Easter dinner guests of George and Wilda Henry were her parents, Calvin and Clara Mae Kronk; Alan, Paula Limerick, Joel and Tracy; Tom and Darla Fair, Lisa and Bryan; and Evan and Patty Henry, Johnny and Cindy. In the afternoon their son, Rev. Brian and Nancy Henry and daughters, of Kenosa, Wisconsin, stopped and surprised them as they were on their way to Washington, D.C. Janice Wozny and son, Phillip, of Ashville, North Carolina, spent the weekend with her mother, Aletha Croy. On Sunday they all enjoyed Easter dinner, along with 29 other family members, at the home of Steve and Joan Rudynski. Good Friday was a beautiful day. Did you gardeners get your potatoes and peas planted? 1 heard of some that did. It is said if you get them planted on Good Friday you can have new potatoes and peas to eat on the 4th of July. Easter dinner guests of Gene and Norma Patrick Sunday evening were Nell Patrick, Tammy Stull and friend Terry and son Brandon. Bob and Joan Boyd, of Columbus, Ohio, and daughter Chris, of San Diego, California, Phil Patrick and friend, of South Bend, Lil Buettner, of Koontz Lake, Skeet and Carol Buettner and son Jimmy and daughter Jill and friend Paul Richey, and Gladys Sheneman. A large number of children attend the annual Easter egg hunt Saturday at 11:00 o’clock at the North Liberty Park, sponsored by the American Legion Post 365. They were all invited to go to the American Legion where they were served refreshments. It was a beautiful day and the children had lots of fun. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis McDaniel and sons, of Richmond, Indiana, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Wyrick and family, of Bryan, Ohio, were Easter dinner guests of their parents, Gail and Mae McDaniel. Don't forget that next Tuesday, April 4, at 12:00 noon, will be our first fellowship dinner at the Pine Creek Church for the retired friends and neighbors. Mrs. Carl Zimmerle were Frank and Lori Saylor and family, of Indianapolis, Mrs. Lisa Clark and daughter, of South Bend, and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Zimmerle and family, also of South Bend. A large number of Mrs. Rachel Fullmer's family were present on Friday to help her celebrate her 91st birthday. Word was received that Steve Foresman, who underwent surgery Monday morning at Indiana University Hospital, for a kidney transplant, is doing as well as can be expected. Please remember him in your pryaers and send him a card as he will be there from eight to 10 days. The Church of Christ was packed last Friday night when the Community Choir presented the cantata, "Thou Art Worthy". Devon Yockey was the director with about 60 singing and many others helping and working to make such a wonderful presentation possible. Many said it was the best cantata yet. Kay and Sharon, daughters of Pauline Howell, returned to their homes after spending some time here caring for their mother who has been ill for some time. She was admitted to the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home in Plymouth Friday. Please remember her. Easter dinner guests of Ethel Rauen were Travis and Joan Holmes and son Michael. They hadn’t seen each other for several years so they had a lot to talk about. NURSERY SCHOOL PRE-REGISTRTTON AT NORTH LIBERTY The Nursery School at the North Liberty Church of Christ, is now registering children from 3 to 5 years old for the fall term. Students must be 3 on or before August 1. 1989, to comply with the school corporation dates. Pre-registration is scheduled for April 3 at 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. and again on April 4 at 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Registration forms must be filled out, plus a non-refundable fee of $5.00 for supplies. Our school has been in existence for 14 years. We have strived to prepare your children for entrance into Pre-Kinder garden with loving guidance under the direction of capable teachers. CAMPING SEASON TO OPEN AT POTATO CREEK STATE PARK Spring has sprung! And Potato Creek State Park is ready for campers to spring into action. Modem comfort stations will open April 7, 1989 in the campground and the campground will be officially open! Potato Creek’s camping reservation season begins Friday. May 12 and continues through Sunday, November 5, 1989. Written reservations will be accepted for a minimum of Friday and Saturday nights for weekend camping. Campsites may be reserved on a daily basis during the week (including Sunday). No telephone requests will be accepted. Minimum reservation nights for the three major holiday weekends this year are: Memorial Day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 26. 27 and 28 leaving on the 29; Fourth of July. Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, June 30. July I. 2 and 3 leaving on the 4; and Labor Day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 1, 2 and 3 leaving on the 4. The camping fee is $9.00 per night for Gass A campsites (electricity and modem restrooms). Rease specify the type and size of camping unit being used when making reservations. Specific campsites may be chosen, however. there is no guarantee of their availability. Reservable sites you may request arc *l4O - 287. Each site request must include the name, address and telephone number along with arrival and depar turc dates of the user. Although the 1989 summer months are all reserved, weekdays in April, May, September. October and November 1989 are available, as well as some weekends and weekdays in December 1989. The fee for cabins is $50.00 a day plus Indiana sales tax. In addition, a $50.00 security/damage deposit (which is refundable) must accompany each reservation request. Topics to be covered over the next seven weeks include: 1. Stress from Worry, Winning over Worry. 2. Stress in the Workplace. 3. Stress from Failure. 4. Stress from Conflict. 5. Stress from Loss. 6. Stress from Burnout. The topics will be covered from a Biblical as well as a practical perspective. Trying to understand the basis and causes of stress, as well as looking positive options in managing stress. The first Sunday class participants will take a stressscale test designed to measure the level of stress effecting us right now, whether we are aware of it or not. The class begins at 10:45 a.m. following the 9:30 a.m. morning worship, where the sermon focus will also be upon the same topic. The class begins with a time of getting acquainted and refreshments.
