Second graders from Mrs. Marilyn Gordon’s class received gold medals for participating in the World Book Partners In Excellence Reading program at North Liberty Elementary School. Gladys Sheneman and Evedine Platz entertained the residents at Miller's Merrv Manor in Walkerton on Tuesday afternoon. It was Mary Jo Golubski's birthday so after the entertainment all sang Happy Birthday and then were served birthday cake and punch Wednesday noon the following enjoyed dinner together at Mel’s Diner in New Carlisle, namely Violet Wolff, Maxine Worthington, Ardene Norris, Madelin Nelson and Gladys Sheneman. After dinner they went to the Miller Merry Manor Nursing Home in New Carlisle where they entertained the residents and were served chocolate chip cookies and a drink. Wednesday evening the Dave Craft family, of North Liberty, entertained the residents at Miller's Merry Manor nursing home in Walkerton for their February birthday party Dave played his guitar. Pam was at the piano, Brian played his electric keyboard piano and I mils played her flute. They really had a wonderful family program which all enjoyed. Several girls from the North Liberty Tn Kappa were present and helped with the residents and served lovely decorated cookies. The dining room was decorated with balloons and streamers for the birthday party and all enjoyed it. Tammy Stull entertained with a birthday luncheon for her son Brandon, who was celebrating his 9th birthday on Sunday evening. Those present were Gene and Norma Patrick. Gladvs Sheneman.
