CHINA PAINTERS MEET The China Painters of LaPorte area held a meeting at the home of Mrs. Vee Shogren. Kcxmtz Lake, to organize and put together many ideas and projects for the coming Indiana State Convention, to be held at the Holiday Inn. in LaPorte. April 21-23. The theme for the meeting is Spring Fantasy. There are 15 guilds in the Indiana Federation. The profits from the sale of painted china, etc., benefit the organization for the educational fund.

This area held its last show in 1974, in the I aPorte Civic Auditorium and was very successful and the laPorte Area China Painters hope this show will be bigger and better. Many local merchants and others too contribute to this cause. I his group of LaPorte China Painters do appreciate all the help we can get. China painting teachers and painters and many distributors arc coming from far and near for this national event Members present at the meeting were Pauline Laskowski, state president, and chairperson, Gerry Cobb, co-chairperson.
