Conference Reports: The Board accepted written conference reports from the following staff members: 1. Linda Wiegand, Dixie Kunze, Walkerton Elementary School, “Gesell Workshop". 2. John Hostrawser, Rick Dehne, John Glenn High School. "NCA Workshop”. The Board received copies of a 1988 summer driver education report detailing that the total cost of the program was $12,960.52. There were 93 students enrolled who paid a tuition of $8,400, two instructors conducted 30 hours of classroom for the students, and four instructors conducted six hours of driving experience for each student.
F. Parents’ Request To Pay Transfer Tuition: Following a motion by Mrs. Craft, seconded by Mrs. Stedman, the Board voted unanimously to grant the parents’ request to pay transfer tuition for the following students for the 1988-89 school year: 1. Kim Webster, Urey Middle School Bth. 2. Jennifer Armstrong, Walkerton Elementary School Sth. G. Marshall County Farm Bureau Annual School Board Meeting: It was noted that the Marshall County Farm Bureau Annual School Board Meeting will be held September 21, 1988 in Plymouth. Mr. Miller, Mr. Millar, Mr. Hostetler and Dr. Smith will attend as representatives of the Board. H. GED Certificates: Following a motion by Mr. Ludwig, seconded by Mr. Millar, the Board voted unanimously to grant General Education Development Certificates to Mary E. Urban Allen and Melissa A. Wesolek. NEXT MEETING DATE The Board will meet in regular open session at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 1988 in the library of Urey Middle School. This location is a change from the earlier announcement due o the North Liberty Elementary School Open House. The Board will meet in regular open session at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4. 1988 in the library of the North Liberty Elementary School. ADJOURNMENT Following a motion by Mr. Millar, seconded by Mrs. Craft, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 8:45 p.m. EXECUTIVE SESSION The Board met in executive session following the regular meeting for the purpose of evaluation of the Superintendent of Schools. No other matters were discussed. The executive session adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
