Roosevelt Road, Walkerton. The former Elsie Mae Smith married William Bacewic on September 5, 1948, at the Walkerton Evangelical United Brethren Church with the Rev. Cecil R. Smith, officiating. The couple’s attendants were Raymond and Arlu Smith, Walkerton. The couple have three children, one daughter, Carolynn S.; two sons, Russell L. and Kenneth A., and one grandchild, Dana S.. all of Walkerton. They are members of the United Methodist Church and have resided in the GrovertownWalkerton area all of their lives where they are self-employed in farming.

ENGAGED Michael and Alice Trocewicz, Route 3, Walkerton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Debi, to Jeff Trimble, son of Charles and Nancy Trimble, of Van Wert, Ohio. The couple will be married on September 10, at St. Patrick’s Church, Walkerton, with a reception to follow at Erskine Country Club, South Bend. The bride-elect is a graduate of Oregon-Davis High School and Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She is employed in open heart surgery at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. The prospective groom is a graduate of Van Wert High School and Vantage Vocational School, Van Wert, Ohio. He is employed at Gunite Corp., in Elkhart. NORTH CENTRAL EVALUATION BEGINS AT J.G.H.S. As a member of the North Central Association, John Glenn High School is required to initiate an evaluation procedure each seven years. The procedure involves a self-study by the J.G.H.S. staff during this school year.
