SIGN-UP FOR YOUTH BOWLING AT SHADY LANES Walkerton Shady Lanes, Inc., at 508 Roosevelt Road, will start the 1988-89 Youth Bowling League season on Saturday, September 17. Saturday September 3 and 10 have been designated as sign-up days when anyone between the ages of five and 18, who wishes to participate in the fun and competition of winter bowling, may register from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All registrants will receive one hour free bowling instruction at that time and be eligible to win a Shady Lanes jacket. Lanes, also announce that they expect this year to be bigger and more exciting. Some of this year’s features are two separate age groups and bowling times, prebowling, where the bowler may pre-bowl his or her league play during the week, special local, city -.nd national tournament events and a lower bowling cost. Wes Seaman, the Youth Director at Shady Lanes for the past two years, will receive a personal two year pass for complimentary bowling as a small token of appreciation for the work and effort he provided to the youth bowling program. REM SERVICES NEV’S Things are percolating well at the REAL Service Nutrition Site and Iva Kring and the volunteers have been serving some delicious meals to a lot of hungry seniors. The fellowship is outstanding and if you haven’t tried us you are really missing out, we do have fun and are constantly making new friends and renewing old friendships. Sharing bountiful gardens are good friends Mary and Harry Malstaff, Pat and John Cowger, Naomi and Ted Keeling and Wes Weidman. Thanks to these people we all are enjoying some fresh vegetables. Martha Mull read a poem and led the prayer on Monday. Fred Bullinger had the program on Tuesday and Mary Hahn led us on Wednesday. Mary even had us up on our feet and exercising followed
