ALZHEIMER AWARENESS PROGRAM AUGUST 23 On Tuesday, August 23, an alzheimer awareness program will be held in the dining room at Miller’s Merry Manor. Walkerton, for the general public. The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. and all are encouraged to attend. We welcome your concerns and a time for sharing will follow the program. A local alzheimer support group is being formed and details concerning this group will be announced at the program. The speaker for the evening will be Silvana Schuster, president of the alzheimer and related disorders association. The video "Caring" will be shown, depicting how the families are coping with an alzheimer's victim in the home. Discussion and a question and answer session will follow the meeting. HOSTETLER FAMILY REUNION The Hostetler Family reunion was held on Sunday at Stuntz & Hochstetler Pines with over 60 present for the day coming from New York, Valparaiso. Wellsborough, Plymouth. Tyner, English Lake. North Liberty and Walkerton. Hay rides, dune buggy rides, balloon water fights, bingo and visiting under the shade trees was enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. James Hostetler were in charge of the games this year. The reunion will be held at the same time and place next year with Mr. and Mrs. John Shaw, of North Liberty, in charge. BRIDAL SHOWER Gena Dodson was honored at a bridal shower on Sunday, August 7. The shower was given by Cindy Dreessen and Kris Dreessen at the home of Joanna Dreessen. There were 17 guests present and prizes were won bv Karel Dreessen, Bobbi Beghtel. Debbie Brown and Alma Daube. Gena will become the bride of James Dreessen on Saturday. September 10. COLE REUNION The annual Cole Reunion was held at the Jim Keeling home. Sunday, August 14, with approximately 50 in attendance. A bountiful carry-in dinner was served at noon. The afternoon was spent visiting and the children played games and played in the water even though it was extremely hot.

The youngest guest was Alyssa Keeling. The couple traveling the most miles was Greg and Allison Cole, from Texas. Members came from Louisana. lowa, Illinois and surrounding towns in Indiana.
