SENIOR CITIZEN BOWLING NEWS With 28 bowlers and two spectators supporting them, the Seniors returned from the Thanksgiving holiday with renewed vigor and skill. The ladies enjoyed a fine day, with close contests in each of the categories. Merle Brucsch’s 175 was the high scratch game with Clare Martin’s 157 and Mildred McKesson’s 152 following. High handicap game went to Clare Martin, whose 217 just bested Merle Bruesch’s 216. Mildred McKesson and Jo Wozniak, the group’s newest lady bowler, tied with 207 for handicap game. Bruesch’s 490 was high series leader, tied with McKesson totaling 450 and Martin 403. The numbers tell the story of a fine contest for the ladies! The gents also saw a fine contest develop among their numbers. Bud Weinman led the group with 197 for high scratch game. Harold Schweder followed with 191, Dave Lind with 189, and Eli Sobat with 188. High handicap game of 243 was posted by Dave Lind, just beating Bud Weinman’s 240 and Eli Sobat’s 232. High series honors went to Harold Schweder’s 513 total, followed by Mel Divine's 505. The contests continue to get closer each week and enliven the day for all.

sionals to fill health care positions has become acute. Orville and Neva Klinedinst GLENN GIRLS TOP OREGON-DAVIS FOR SECOND WIN The John Glenn girls pulled awav from the Oregon-Davis girls in the second half for a 61-47 victory' last Wednesday. After a very tight first half in which the visiting O-D girls led 25-24 at halftime. the Glenn team used a good balanced attack and a lot of late free throws to wrap this one up. This raised the record to 2-1 for the young season. For Glenn four girls finished in double figures with Kristi Solmos and Tammy Rupel having 11 points each while Dawn Rhodes and Trish O’Blenis had 10 each.
