Lisa Ann Parker and Gary Allen Bledsoe were united in marriage during a 4:30 p.m. ceremony held at the Blissville Church of the Brethren on August 22. with Rev. Dester Cummins officiating. Mrs. Marie Summers was the organist and Mrs. Karla Cummins the soloist. The church was decorated with pew bows, fems and burgandy mums on the altar. The bride is the daughter of Linda and Richard Parker. Route 4, Box 371, Walkerton, and the groom is the son of Jane and Garland Bledsoe. Noblesville. The bride chose a gow n featuring a sweetheart neckline, puffed sleeves with lace arm pieces and the bodice had pearls and sequins sewn on. The ruffle around the bottom and train accented the gown. She carried silk burgandy mums and white roses. She was given in marriage by her parents. Maid of honor was Zonda Hathaway and bridesmaids were Amy Bledsoe, sister of the groom; Mary Lou Nierzwicki, aunt of the bnde; Carrie Slyh and Marcia Osborn. the bride. The flower girl was Miss Leigh Ann Parker, cousin of the bride and her dress was also designed by the bride and styled similarly to the other attendants. Best man was Dennis Roudebush and groomsmen were Greg Horine, David Mooney, Dewayne Turk and Brian Parker, brother of the bride. A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall, in Plymouth for 200 guests. A buffet supper was served. Music by the Music Professionals was enjoyed. Cake servers were Mrs. Phyllis Roudebush and Mrs. Sharri Shively. friends of the newlyweds and food servers were Mrs. Bea Miller. Mrs. Gail Strang and Mrs. Pat Kerckhove. A wedding trip to Orlando, Florida, was taken. The couple reside at SSI7 Rosweood Commons Dr., Indianapolis. The bride is a graduate of John Glenn High School and she is a junior at Butler University studying pre-medicine. The groom is a graduate of Noblesville High School and Butler University. He is working on his masters in business administration at Butler. He is employed by Herff Jones, Inc., Indianapolis. nine members present. call was taken by giving a party or treat suggestion for Halloween. Chris Houston gave the treasurer’s report and reported our tax exempt number to the club. There was then a discussion on saving Campbell's Soup labels once again to help local schools purchase playground equipment. It was then decided that we would collect them and distribute them to our local schools. Patty ' Roush, chairman of the dessert of the month raffle, then passed out tickets to all attending. This is our 4th year for the raffle and are hoping for a successful year once again. The tickets are SI.OO and can be purchased through any Spud Buddies member. Our drawing will be December 15, with the desserts to be delivered to the winners home starting the beginning of the year. Please get your tickets soon. Young Homemakers Day information was presented by Chris Houston, chairman of the committee for St. Joseph County. Since our club is a young Homemakers Club, we will be helping Chris with this exciting event. The date has been set for March 8. 1988 in the John Glenn Home Ec room. Home Ec teacher, Patti Kennedy, is working with us to make the evening a success. Several different topics for the evening were discussed by the club, with more discussion to be held at the next meeting. Our club has once again decided to donate to Mental Health of St. Joseph County. Patty Roush then talked about her visit to the “23” Home Ec Club. She had a most enjoyable evening and learned a lot from the guest speaker for the evening from the Omni Center for Women’s Health in South Bend. Our club decided to have someone come from the center as a guest speaker in April or May. Our next meeting will take place at Bev Williams home on November 10. with a Discovery Toys agent coming to demonstrate her teaching toys to the club. Joyce Liggett then gave a lesson on Managing Your Food Dollars. She demonstrated categories of foods and discussed a plan to help you save money on your grocery bill. We then had a discussion on rebates and couponing, of which our club has a coupdh box that is passed along to all of our members. Everyone then enjoyed chocolate bundt cake for dessert. CLYDE COLE ARRESTED LAST TUESDAY Gyde Cole, 49, of Route 1, Box 323, Walkerton, was arrested on a charge of conspiring to sell one kilo of cocaine, valued at $30,000, last Tuesday, at 11:00 p.m., according to the Indiana State Police. Cole was charged with two counts of dealing in cocaine. Class A felonies; one charge is conspiracy to deal in cocaine, a Class A felony, the other is maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony. Charges against Cole stem from his delivery and selling of cocaine to undercover State Police officers. investigation. It is suspected that Cole is a major supplier of cocaine in Marshall and St. Joseph Counties according to Bob Ruff, of the Indiana State Police. Additional charges are pending. If convicted. Cole faces a minimum of 60 years in prison and a $30,000 fine. He is being held in the Marshall County Jail. A Homemaker/Home Health Aide is an on-the-job trained, unlicensed, non-professional nursing personnel in the care of the patient in the home. She functions as a substitute for a family member in providing home nursing care for the sick and/or disabled member of the family. JOHNSON JUNIORS MEET The October 21 meeting of the Johnson Juniors was held with two guests in attendance, Shirl Myers and Darlene Koch.
