Jr. stated that three items had been legally advertised for tonight’s meeting. (1.) Additional Appropriation of Federal Revenue Sharing Funds $17,050.00. (2.) 1988 Budget Hearing. (3.) Proposals for completing 1987 CIP Grant application and proposals for administration and engineering services if grant is approved. President Limerick read Ordinance For Additional Appropriations #1987-10 Federal Revenue Sharing Fund 4-440 Vehicles and Equipment $17,050.00. Pauline Laskowski questioned what vehicles and equipment would be purchased and was advised a dump truck equipped for snow removal. Scott King then made the motion to adopt Additional Appropriation Ordinance 198710 Federal Revenue Sharing Funds 4-440 Vehicles and Equipment $17,050.00, Seconded by Thomas Daughtery with a unanimous aye. Clerk-treasurer Paul Williams, Jr. read the 1988 Budget Estimate as pubplished. After discussion Allen Albright made the motion to accept the 1988 Budget as published and refer it to the August 24. 1987 meeting for adoption. Second by George Jackson, with unanimous aye. Proposals for completing the 1987 CIP Grant applications and proposals for administration and engineering services if application approved received from Bonar & Associates, Fort Wayne. Indiana, and Clyde E. Williams & Associates, South Bend, Indiana. For CIP Grant Application: Bonar & Associates, $1,500.00 to $2,500.00; Clvdc E. Williams, $4,000.00 to $6,000.00. After discussion Allen Albright made a motion to refer the proposals to attorney John Peddycord for review, and for vote at the August 19. 1987 town board meeting, second by Scott King with unanimous aye. Meeting adjourned 8:15 p.m.
HEAD START NOTICE Project Head Start of St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties is registering children for the 1987-88 school year. Barbara Bunton To Speak On Thurs., Aug. 20 Barbara Bunton will be the speaker at the August 20 meeting of the Walkerton Women's Aglow . Barbara is an annointed woman of God. She has been used to bring help to many, and she shares God’s abundant love with joy and enthusiasm. As well as having a dynamic singing ministry, she touches the hearts of people with God’s messages to set them free from bondage, fear, depression and physical conditions. Her ministry has taken her to many states and Canada as well as TV and radio. She has recorded several albums and written several songs. With a BA in Education, she has taught school and in day care centers. She founded "The Brand New Morning Home” in South Bend whose purpose is to bring hope and the love of God to those who have been devastated by hurts and problems. Her message is life changing, as she sings and preaches with great love and enthusiasm. Don’t miss this great time in the Lord. TWO PURDUE UNIVERSITY COURSES TO BE OFFERED AT ANCILLA COLLEGE Purdue University North Central will continue its offsite offerings this fall at Ancilla College with two courses offered in the area of supervision. Purdue began offering courses last spring semester at Ancilla, which is located west of Plymouth in Marshall County. The courses to be offered this fall include: Human Relations In Supervision (SPV 252), a study of the basic concepts related to organizational behavior. Special emphasis is on typical supervisory relationships. The course will meet on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:50 p.m. beginning August 27. The fee is $150.00. Basic Methods Os Training For Supervisors (SPV 375) offers the princples. practices and variations of basic methods of instruction as related to training situations found in the world of work.
