Mr. and Mrs. Orville Klinedinst spent last Monday and Tuesday, in Louisville, Kentucky, visiting with their granddauther, Sherry Klinedinst, and taking her show in at the Kentucky Kingdom. They also called on Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ward, in Hartford City, Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Williams, of Zephyrhills, Florida, were Monday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ullery. Mr. and Mrs. Todd Beyerl and daughter, of Wheaton, Illinois, were weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Capek, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. William Cannell, of Oakton, Virginia, are here visiting with Mrs. Howard Fouts, who is a resident of the nursing home. A surprise birthday dinner was given for Dale Ullery, on Friday evening, at Weico Restaurant. Guests were Mrs. Florence Anderson, of Knox. Mr. and Mrs. John Ullery, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dill, Mrs. Judy Mercer and sons, and Kathy Young, of North Liberty. This was a happy surprise for Mr. Ullery. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Williams, of Zephyrhills. Florida, are here visiting relatives and friends. They were dinner guests one day last week of Mr. and Mrs. Clell Fouts. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Freeman, of Plymouth, were Saturday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ullery, helping Dale celebrate his birthday. Miss Linda Betz and Miss Linda Brown, of South Bend, along with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Betz and Kyle, were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Josephine Betz. Afternoon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bryant, of Indianapolis. Mrs. Doris DePoy is now a resident of Walkerton having purchased and moved into the former Dr. Christensen home, at 603 Indiana Street. Mrs. Amy Wardman and Mrs. Jane Chapman enjoyed the play, “Plain And Fancy” given at Amish Acres Playhouse, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Morrey and his mother, Mrs. Ann Morrey, of Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kaufman, of Fish Lake; Mrs. Nora Hahn and Mrs. Alma Daube were at Lake Station, on Sunday, to visit with Mrs. Esther Kaufman, who is staying at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carolee Epperson. Mrs. Arlene Matousek came home on Saturday after spending a week at Murfesboro, Tennessee, where she was a sponsor for a church group of 11, at a camp there. Mr. Craig DeMyer and daughter. Alissa, of Mishawaka, were her on Saturday, to spend the day with his mother, Mrs. Margaret DeMyer. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Globig and family, of Ankenny, lowa, were here one day last week as luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schaeffer. Mrs. David Frazier and children, of Wabash, are spending a few days here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Scarborough. The birthdays of Helen Smith, of South Bend, and Viola Barden, of Walkerton, were celebrated on Saturday, with a luncheon at the Wheel Works Restaurant, in South Bend. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn, Catherine Hahn. Goldie Skinner and Mr. and Mrs. Herald Hostetler. Mrs. Michael Nusbaum, of Fort Wayne, was here for several days last week visiting with her mother, Mrs. Velma Stahly. The American Door Company held their annual picnic on Saturday, at St. Patrick’s School Field with good food, good attendance and a good time.

ENGAGED David and Lana Alexander, of Plymouth, announce the engagement of the daughter, Julie, to John Small, Jr., son of John and Diane Small, of Walkerton. The bride-elect is a graduate of Plymouth High School and is employed at Penguin Point and Rees Cinema, Plymouth. The prospective groom is a graduate of John Glenn High School and a 1987 graduate of Manchester College. He is employed by the John Small Insurance Agency, Walkerton. The couple are planning an October 24 wedding at the Ancilla Chapel. JOHNSON-FINN FAMILY REUNION HELD AUGUST 8 The Johnson-Finn family reunion was held on Saturday, August 8. at the Koontz Lake Lions Park. There were 103 people attending the second annual reunion with several new faces from the Finn side of the family and the Johnsons were well represented also. Frank Johnson’s sister and her daughter and husband came from out of town and stayed at the Koontz Lake home with the Davisons. The set up at the park was ideal for a reunion. KELVER FAMILY REUNION The annual Kelver family reunion was held on Sunday, August 16, at the Tyner Community Building, with 79 present for the delicious carry-in dinner. Family members were present from Plymouth, Greenwood. Culver, Rochester, Lafayette, Argos, North Liberty, Warsaw, Walkerton, Jacksonville, Illinois; Niles, Michigan; Murrey and Lexington, Kentucky; and Punta Gorda, Florida. Donn Kelver and Leta Schortgen were in charge of this year’s reunion. Randy Givens Listed In Fair Condition Randy C. Givens, 29, of 909 Van Buren Street, Walkerton, is listed in fair condition at Elkhart General Hospital, suffering from a fractured and dislocated hip following an accident on Friday, at 12:26 p.m., at Indiana 119 and Elkhart County Road 40, near the Amish Village known as Southwest.
