cently that he has qualified for the U. S. National Senior Olympics, to be held in St. Louis, Missouri, on June 27 to July 2. Pugh is a former teacher and athletic coach, being in Walkerton for eight years as basketball and track coach from 19301938. Pugh retired from Anderson High School in 1971 as a teacher and assistant in athletics after 33 years and eight years at W'alkerton making a total of 41 years at the age of 62. He moved to Indianapolis to a rental apartment complex that was built for senior citizens with lots of activities and security. He and his wife travel without worry of looking after a home and they spend the winter months in
Florida or Arizona. Pugh is in the 75-79 age group and obtained his way to the national competition by winning either a first, second or third place medal in the even they entered at the Indianapolis Regional. Those competing at Indianapolis were from Ohio. Michigan, Kentucky, Illinois and Indiana. Pugh took a first place medal in the javelin throw; a second in the 100 meter dash as well as the 200 meter and 400 meter and a third in the long jump. Events that will be held at the first National Senior Olympics include archery, bowling, cycling, golf, horseshoes, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track, field, 10K road run, volleyball, javelin, pole vault, high jump and diving. SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP AT OREGON-DAVIS The summer basketball camp for those in first to eighth grade at Oregon-Davis Schools will be held from June 1 to June 12. The camp will be held in the high school gymnasium. The first and second graders will meet from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.; third, fourth and fifth graders, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.; and the

The fourth, fifth and sixth graders will meet from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.; seventh and eighth graders from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. and there will be open volleyball play from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. SECTIONAL BASEBALL FOR OREGON-DAVIS BOBCATS The baseball sectional informa tion received from Oregon-Da\is High School has the Bobcats placing on Monday. June 1, against Winamac at 2:00 p.m. This will be followed at 4:30 p.m . with Tippecanoe Valley and Knox. Then on Saturday, June 6, Rochester will play Culver at 9:30 a.m. and then the winners of games one and two will meet at 11:30 a.m. The championship game will be at 3:00 p.m.
