January 14. in Walkerton at the elementary school gym. For some the classes offer the incentive to get started on the right track with innovative exercises that are safe for all ages. For others the classes are a night out to do something construction for themselves. The universal answer given by those asked about excercising faithfully is. “It makes me feel so much better, plus I sleep better and have more energy". The classes are led by Sue Klinedinst. a certified fitness instructor from the Health and Lifestyle Center and native of the Walkerton-North Liberty area. Wearing loose fitting clothing and bring a floor mat are a must for all participants but two three pound weights are optional and only used during one exercise routine. All agree that it is easier to exercise in a group than at home alone. Those with real determination come to the classes just once to learn the latest exercising techniques and then continue at home while others return faithfully to each session for group support. For those exercising twice a week the center offers a special provision in making the Monday and Wednesday night classes interchangeable. When fully enrolled in one night the other night can be used as an extra class at the rate of $2.00 each class or as a make-up class for any missed classes. No pre-sign up is necessary. Enrollment is done the night of the class. A fee of $12.00 is charged for six classes to defray expenses. For more information call Carole at 586-2377 or Kathy at 656-4588.
