Glenn Girls Fall To Now Prairie In NSC Action The New Prairie girls basketball team handed the John Glenn girls their sixth loss of the season in seven starts on Wednesday night bv a 45-39 score. This was the second conference game for Glenn also, while New Prairie recorded their first win of the year in eight starts and evened their NSC mark at 1-1.

The Lady Falcons trailed the home team Cougars by only one point after one period, but fell behind by a 20-14 score at the main intermission. Trish O'Blenis paced the Falcons first half with four baskets while Danielle Wykoff had seven first half points for the Cougars. The scoring pace picked up in the second half, but it found the Glenn girls only gaining two points as they outscored the Cougars 13-11 in this quarter to cut the margin down to just 31-27 going into the fourth period. Kristi Solmos paced the Falcons in the second half
which found them staying in the game, but not able to overhaul their opponents. New Prairie was able to hold on for the six point margin of victory. Wykoff led all scorers for the game with 15 points on six baskets and three of seven from the foul line. Kathy Smith hit double figures for the Cougars, 10 points on five baskets, all in the second half. Solmos led the Falcons with 13 points, all of hers coming in the second half also. O'Blenis followed with nine and Tammy Rupel seven for Glenn. B-Team Lowes 16-14 The Glenn B-Team was topped by the New Prairie Bees 16-14 in the preliminary game.
