Saturday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Knowlton were Mrs. Doris Gark. of South Bend, Mrs. Carl Delaney, of Lafayette. Miss Dawn Delaney, of Huntsville, Alabama, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Knowlton and sons. Mrs. Dave Drews and Suzanne. Michele and Mike Knowlton, and Ryan Knowlton, who was honored for a belated ninth birthday party. Ice cream and cake were also served and Ryan opened his presents. A belated birthday party was held on Sunday for Mr. Ed Pogodzinski at Oii-Am Restaurant, Plymouth with Mrs. Pogodzinski, Mr. and Mrs. Gaude Sheneman, Mr. and Mrs. Gell Fouts, Mr. and Mrs. Gaude Nowakowski, Mrs. Mary Omiecinski and Mrs. Caroline Hancovsky present. The rest of the afternoon was spent at the Pogodzinski home. Mrs. Sheneman baked a beautiful decorated chocolate cake which was served with ice cream, coffee and cider. Rev. Mrs. Paul Karlesog, of Highland, spent the day with Rev. Goodpasture. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Nolcheff will serve as hosts for the Koontz Lake Conservation Gub dinner on Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m. C.S.T. Please note the time change as dinner will be served promptly at 5:00 p.m. Mr, and Mrs. Kenneth Klinedinst spent the weekend in Cincinnati. Ohio, with their son, Michael. Sunday afternoon Carl and Kathy Delaney were honored for their 25th anniversary at the Johnson Twp. Community Building. Guests were present from Rochester, LaPorte, Mishawaka, Lafayette, South Bend and the surrounding area. Ice cream, cake, nuts and minst were served. The Delaneys have three children. Urbin and Mrs. Robert Urbin. On Friday Mrs. Bertha Urbin went to South Bend to visit with her sister and brother, Mrs. Ruth Hughes and Mr. G. E. Metzger. Mrs. Don Nicholas is recuperating very nicely at home after spending many weeks in St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend. Mrs. Ella Nusbaum was dismissed from the LaPorte Hospital last week and is enjoying her home again. Mrs. Nellie Smith remains in the LaPorte Hospital after having surgery last week and would appreciate cards. Russell Knowlton was taken by ambulance to Michiana Community Hospital. South Bend, where he will remain for a few days for tests and observation. Mr. and Mrs. William Barden and three daughters, of Merrillville, were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Weller. Mr. and Mrs. Waldorf Hoover, of Dowagiac, Michigan, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ullery. Mre. and Mrs. Gene Patrick and Mr. and Mrs. Gaude Sheneman enjoyed dinner a week ago Sunday at the Driftwood Restaurant, near Michigan City, and then they drove all through the Indiana Dunes State Park where the trees were beautiful . The occasion was to help Gene Patrick celebrate his birthday. The wedding of Miss Loria Ball, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ball, Logansport, was performed on Saturday afternoon, in St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, Logansport. Mrs. Elizabeth Martin, Walkerton, grandmother of the bride, attended the wedding along with Mr. and Mrs. Don Martin and daughters, of Lakeville; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hostetler and family, of Walkerton; Mr. and Mrs. Brian Cassady and two daughters. South Bend; and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Martin and family, Cillecotha, Illinois. The Charles Martin family spent Sunday in Walkerton with his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Martin before returning to their home in Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kaufman and Esther Kaurman were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Carolee Eppereson, in Lake Station. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Burbee, of Portage, Mr. and Mrs. James Epperson and Jill Epperson, Lake Station. The dinner was in celebration of Mrs. Carolee Epperson’s birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Youcom, of Valparaiso, were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Masterman. Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn, Mrs. Valda Tener, Mrs. Goldie Skinner and Mrs. Mamie Hahn visited school one day last week at San Pierre, for Grandparents Day. It proved to be very interesting learning something * about the new methods. Mr. and Mrs. John Wathen returned from a two week vacation in Florida. One week was spent with their son, Todd, who attends Eckerd College, in St. Petersburg, and they spent a week in Fort Lauderdale. Mrs. Damon Nichols returned Monday from Dearborn Heights, Michigan, after spending a week visiting with Carolyn and Don Ries

List Walkerton Halloween Party Costume Winners The Walkerton Jaycees sponsored the annual Walkerton Halloween parade and costume judging on Sunday, October 26, with a good attendance and a lot of interesting costumes. Winners are as follows. In the age group of 0-2, first place was won by Kathy Abair, who was in a Cabbage Patch outfit; second, an Indian, Jessica Adkins; and third place, white bunny to Cassidy Burkholder. The three and four year old winner was Mike Paschen as a puppy; second place, Sara Ludwig, as a flapper; and third place was a tie with Brook Eddinger, as Robin Hood; and Lisa Ferency. as a tree. In the five and six year old division, Danielle Ludwig took first place as a scarecrow; Hanna Hathaway, second, as a witch; and third place to Misty and Mandy Paschen, as super girls. The seven and eight year old winner was Cheryl Paschen, as a cat; second place, Jackie Hathaway. as a butterfly; and third. Ryan Schmeltz, as a clown. In the nine and 10 year old division. Sandy Flynn was the first place winner as a pound puppy; second place, Christa Fry; and
