Each member that was present was also given a dollar in appreciation of the Farm Bureau. Chip Bolze was acknowledged and rewarded for completing his 10th year in 4-H. The 4-H Club would like to thank the Farm Bureau, our leaders and the parents for all the help during the year. BREMEN ELIMINATES FALCON VOLLEYBALLERS IN THE SECTIONAL Bremen defeated the John Glenn girls volleyball team in the opening game of the 1986 sectional, hosted by Glenn, last Thursday evening. The Lions won by scores of 15-13 and 15-11 in some very exciting games. For Glenn. Tammy Rupel served a perfect six of six; Amy Kaser led in kills, three; Shawnda Clemons and Tammy Osborn, the most passes, nine, and Ingrid Boise, the most sets. 18. Glenn ended the season with a 9-13 record while Bremen advanced their recrod to 16-7 with the victory. HANS NAMED MANCHESTER ASSOCIATION COACH OF THE YEAR Veteran Indiana High School basketball coach, John Hans, formerly of Walkerton, now of Geneva. Indiana, has been named the Manchester College M-Association Alumni Coach of the Year. The announcement was made during homecoming at the college on Satuurday, October 11. Hans is in his 19th season as a varsity basketball coach. He is currently coach at South Adams High School, Berne, starting his second season. He coached for seven years at John Glenn High School and 10 seasons at New Haven High School, prior to the South Adams position. He has compiled over 200 wins, six conference championships, three county and three holidav toiimev titles and was won one sectional His best season record was 21-3 at Glenn in 1973, a season which also produced an Indiana All-Star for John Glenn High School.
