Falcons To Host Ronssolaer In Football Soctlonal The 1986 football Sectional will be held on Friday. October 24. at 7 :30 p.m. Again this year, Glenn will be a host for the first round game. The Falcons will host Rensselaer High School at the Glenn field for the Friday night game. » The Falcons are in Sectional 25, Class AA. The painngs for this sectional have Cass hosting N. Newton; Glenn hosting Rensselaer; Rochester will host Mishawaka Marian; and Lake Station plays host to Delphi. The winners of games one and two and also of three and four will meet the following week with these two winners meeting the next Friday night. The Glenn and Rensselear game pits two teams whose records at this time couldn’t be much more similar. Each team has two wins and six losses. To further compare the teams, the Falcons have scored 54 points while giving up 135 and Rensselaer has scored 47 points while giving up 144. Last year the Falcons hosted Rochester in the first round game and the crowd was somewhat disappointing. It is hoped this year’s game will be better supported by the local fans and it is not expected that Rensselaer, with the long distance of travel and their record, will bring too many fans. This new format, initiated last year, puts every team in the state tourney in one of five classes and is completely controlled by the IHSAA. Admission for all people attending will be $3.00. Make your plans now to attend the football sectional on Friday, October 24 and support the Falcons in the 1986 state tourney.
