HOLD SPECIAL SERVICE On Sunday morning, October 5, the First Presbyterian Church of Walkerton celebrated their commitment to peacemaking in the 1980 s by holding a very special worship service which centered attention on the message that “Peace Is Possible’’. Mr. Anwar Zainal, an attorney now living in LaPorte but originally from the country of Iraq, spoke to the congregation of the common dream of peace shared by both Muslim and Christian. According to Mr. Zainal the man Jesus and the world Peace are joined together in the Koran, the sacred writings of the faith of Islam. Everyone, both adults and children of the congregation, were much impressed with the encouraging message of Mr Zainal. We were all moved to continue to hold onto and strive for our belief that “Peace Is Possible” siad Rev. R. J. Reynolds, pastor at the First Presbyterian Church. ^Pointers Par Parents Here’s information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on what to do if your child indicates he may have been sexually abused: • Take the child to a private. quiet place where he can relate the story.
