er for a wedding. On Sunday John and Arlene were able to relax and visit with friends and also they went to Skokie. Illinois to visit with an aunt of Arlene's who hasn t been well. ELLEN OVERTON FETED AT SHOWER "How do you fix spaghetti?" "Glaze it with brown sugar and pineapple and bake for three or four hours at 325". This was just one of the hilarious "scrambled answers" at an afternoon Paper & Plastic bridal shower feting Ellen Overton on Saturday, September 20. Nancee Zellers and daughter Kristi, hosted the event, and presented the bride-elect with a corsage of pink and white carnations and roses. The table decor displayed Ellen’s wedding colors with a miniature pink and white parasol as the centerpiece. Because the affair was attended by several generations of friends and .relatives, the buffet was an elegant incorporation of times past and present. Guests served themselves from the antique crystal eteched in gold, a traditional silver coffee set and contemporary tablewarc. Festivities began with each guest writing a brief note to the bride-to-be. including how they met their husbands, their own worst cooking disasters, marital advice, and things they each had too much or not enough of. These were sealed in envelopes for the couple to share after their marriage. The "Price Is Right" game was won by Lynda Iruhler. and Animal Homes by Mrs. Zellers.
