TRI KAPPA NEWS The Epsilon Chi chapter of Tri Kappa met on Thursday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m., at the United Methodist Church, Walkerton. Suzie Johnson, president, presided. Before calling the meeting to order, Mrs. Johnson introduced Kathy Eldridge, LaPorte, Province Officer for Province 12. Mrs. Eldridge conducted the bi-annual inspection of the chapter during the meeting. Also introduced was Jan Mayes, a guest of the Provine Officer. Mary Bierly, art show chairman, reported on the annual Arts and Crafts Festival held in April. Winners were announced in the May 1 issue of “The Independent-News”. Sandy Thomas, Spring project chairman, announced that geraniums could be picked up anytime. Additional geraniums can be ordered for $2.00 from any Tri Kappa member. Epsilon Chi will have a bake sale at Miller’s Merry Manor, during the Rock-A-Thon, on May 31. Deb Perry will coordinate the project. Following the business session Cindy Huhnke and Ellen Mollenhauer were given a surprise bridal shower. Ellen will become the bride of Deon Miller on May 18 and
