FARMERS STATE BANK OF WYATT PROMOTES SEVEN EMPLOYEES
The Farmers State Bank of Wyatt has named seven employees to new positions. Bag.:,' • > I * JEk U • David A. Wertz, C.P.A., has joined the bank as vice-president and controller. A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in industrial management, he has been a financial institutions auditor for Crowe Chizek & Company of South Bend for five years. Wertz is a South Bend resident and a board member of the Potawatami Zoological Society. rr 1 Ik., K A Jay F. Potts has been promoted to the position of vice-president. Assistant manager of the Walkerton branch, Potts heads the bank’s agricultural lending division. Before joining the bank in 1982 Potts was assistant vice-president of the State Bank of Washington in Washington. Ind. He attended Vincennes University, is a graduate of lAB/Purdue University Agricultural Banking School, is a past president of Walkerton Jaycees and a member of the Indiana Society of Agri Bankers. He and his wife, Sue. reside in Walkerton with their children, Jason and Lynna. kIWI ME r Robert C. Boyd has been named branch manager of the bank's home office in Wyatt. A vicepresident and commercial lender, Boyd received a B.S. in general management from Purdue University in 1978 and is a graduate of IBA/Purdue University Agricultural Banking School. Before joining Farmers State Bank he served as a vice-president and loan officer at National Bank Ac Trust Company, South Bend. He and his wife and daughter reside in South Bend.
T. ■ ’•J' /Ji Margery A. Baumgardner will serve as internal auditor and head of Farmers State Bank's human resources. Mrs. Baumgardner began her banking career in the Wyatt bookkeeping department in 1950 and has worked in all areas of the bank. She was named assistant cashier in 1964, cashier and trust officer in 1977, and vicepresident in 1981. A resident of Wyatt, she serves on the Madison Township Advisory Board and is treasurer of the St. Joseph County 4-H Fair and the North Central Group of the National Association of Bank Women. Ip Ronald Zeltwanger has joined Farmers State Bank as assistant vice-president in the agricultural lending division. A graduate of Bremen High School in 1978, he received his degree in business management from Purdue University in 1982. Before joining Farmers State Bank he was branch manager for Farm Credit System in South Bend for more than three years. He is a member of the St. Joseph County Ag Team. He and his wife live in the Bremen-Wyatt area. Mb* J Jo Hershberger has been named Director of Marketing. A graduate of DePauw University, she worked as a reporter for the Chicago Tribune and edited The Walkerton Shopper from 1974 to 1985. She has served on the boards of Southold Dance Theatre in South Bend and the Walkerton Chamber of Commerce and presently is on the Board of Directors of Farmers State Bank. She and her husband reside with their family in Walkerton.
/ / ' I Elaine Hoffman will serve as supervisor of loan administration and credit departments. She joined the bank as a credit analyst in September, 1985, after receiving a B.A. degree in economics from Youngstown State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Akron. A resident of Granger, she is a member of the South Bend Chamber of Commerce Key Club. April 17, with Mrs. Jim Hanev. president, opening the meeting with prayer. Miss Ethel Bierly was then brought forward and was honored for her many faithful years she has given to her church She was then presented a special membership pin. Mrs. Haney thanked those who attended the Day of Inspiration, at Ancilla College. The Mother-Daughter Banquet will be held at the Presbyterian Church on May 15.
